I had 2 simple needs on my visit today. I cracked my phone screen and needed it replaced. I had a secondary line for a business that I sold so I needed to take that number off my plan.
The moment I walked into the AT&T store in Catoosa (suite G) I was greeted with what was clearly annoyance that I was even in there. The employee working was named Hal. No hello or hi but a stern I’ll be with you in a min. (Only one other customer was in the store so it was not busy) -He told me he cannot help with the number situation that I have to call a number and verify my account over the phone to take a number off of my plan. So can’t help ya there. He then said I can probably help with the broken screen cover. We sat down and he asked for my license. I told him I have a photo of my license on my phone but my wallet was in the wife’s car. He said I need to scan the back of it to replace your screen cover. I said why. He said there is no other way to verify your account. I said well I can give you my account pin, my social, my drivers license photo that is clearly me, I can show you the bill sent to my email with my name. There are lots of ways to verify who I am but it’s literally just a screen on my phone. His response , “nope can’t do it” I said well how can they verify my account and who I am over the phone without a picture of my drivers license? He said, “not my problem” I said well ok so if you don’t want to do your job just say so man and he got up and went to the back and didn’t come back out. If there is a manager at this store or someone that can call me back I would love to discuss it more 919-740-9973. But with customer service like this no wonder people are leaving AT&T in droves. **update!!! I went to the AT&T store in broken arrow at 145th and met with the employee there named Josh! Absolutely incredible experience and he was able to fix both problems for me in the store all under 15 mins! And with a great attitude! So both of my request could be done in store if Hal wanted to. Time for...
Read moreMy phone was hit by some sort of flare or microwave. I could answer calls but not call out or use it for other things. I took it in to the store on 31st &Garnett in my area. They had me take it to a service store at 71st & Mingo about 4 miles from them. They took my phone in the back and came back 15 minutes later with my phone in perfect working order. It seems that they had other people bringing in their phones in w/the sane problem. Solar flares or microwaves from the planes which we are under a flight pattern and a holding pattern. The planes we were told "give off microwave emissions that are part of their guidance systems while in holding patterns". Whatever the problem they fixed my phone at no cost to myself. I still use my phone. Haven't had another problem except my carrier keeps trying to get me to "upgrade". I had a 2 year contract and prepaid off my last 3 months of my 2 year old phone and they want me to get a new phone less than 24 hours after I paid off my phone! Unconscionable. They only want to keep you hooked with these contract 2 year payments. You are just a cash cow for them nothing more. Try contacting customer service. They try to get you to purchase a new phone even when you are trying to...
Read moreI was distressed about a potential fraud with my ATT account. I called and spoke the Jami the store manager. She advised for me come to the ATT Store with my id and a copy of my bill to check to see if my account had been compromised. Jami was able to help me with the issuse. She identified that it was a 3rd party company who was not following ATT policy. Jami helped arrange for an upgrade to current internet speed. Jami also helped my husband and I with cost comparisons with potential phone upgrades. She was professional, compassionate, and empathic to my situation. She calmed down my anxiety. I left store at peace- gone was that terrible feeling that I may be a victim of identy theft. My mind was running through all the accounts, passwords and the exhausting task of that process. My husband is elated- because I am no longer talking about the potential of identy theft. Jami is an exceptional ATT store manager with superior...
