There was a hypodermic needle in my room. Staying at this hotel was one of the worst experiences of my life. On Christmas Day at approximately 11:00 PM I stuck my foot between the nightstand and bed reaching for an electrical outlet. I felt a sudden pain and looked down to see a used hypodermic needle sticking out of my toe. We rushed to the ER where I was given a tetanus shot and blood was drawn to test for HIV and Hepatitis. I had to wait three agonizing days to get my results. As directed by the ER doc I had to schedule a 2nd doctor's appointment with my primary physician. He told me I would have to wait and be retested in 6 months which made my 3rd doctor’s appointment. I made every effort to get the owner of the hotel to contact me. I reported the incident as soon as it happened to the front desk worker. As soon as we got back from the hospital I filled out an incident report and gave it to the front desk clerk. The next morning I asked the front desk clerk if I could speak to a manager. She gave me the assistant manager’s cell phone number. I called her and told her what happened and she assured me that the owners would contact me. I messaged her again two days later and let her know I still hadn’t heard from the owner. On December 28th, the assistant manager said, “I did confirm management will be in tomorrow. You should hear responses from them tomorrow.” I waited two more days and on December 30th I told her that I still hadn’t heard from the owners. She never responded to that message. Also, on Dec 30th I reached out to Wyndham corporate. They informed me that they directed the owner to reach out to me. The owner still did not reach out to me. On Jan. 3 (9 days after the incident) I finally mentioned an attorney to the assistant manager because it was obvious the owner was not going to contact me. My attorney sent a letter to the hotel owner requesting that he contact him concerning my situation. The owner never responded. It has been over 8 months and I have still not heard from the owner of this hotel. He has not offered to reimburse our one night stay or contribute to my medical bills. My one night stay at this hotel ended up costing me a lot of money and extreme mental anguish. I am writing this review in hopes that others will not make the...
Read moreI came to visit a Navy buddy and got a room at La Quinta on 6/13/23. The girl that was down stairs when I got the room was very friendly and gave me a veteran discount for being in the military. I went to the same girl because my room AC was not cooling the room. We dropped our stuff in the room and left for a couple hours. When we came back the room was not cool at all. When I talked to the girl down stairs she said she would put in a note for maintenance to come look at the AC. I asked for a fan, and she found a fan that I could put near the AC to get it to put cool air across the room.
On 6/14/23 we left the room had the AC on 67 and was gone for most of the day till about 2pm. We came back to the room and it was not cooled off at all. The AC was on the 67 fan on high and cooling, and was putting out warm air. I put the AC on 60 fan high and cooling before I went to the front desk. I went to the front desk and spoke to a Hispanic gentleman, and went out and got maintenance. The maintenance guy came to the room and walks over to the AC and says it’s working just fine, it’s on 60 cooling and on high, I know how to read, I can clearly see the AC is on 60 cooling and on high. I told him the AC was on 67 before and was blowing warm air, on high and cooling. I have to use the fan to get the cool across the room. I’ve stayed at motel 6 and had the room freezing because the AC was blowing across the room. The room gets a one star.
For breakfast this morning 6/14/24 the cleaning ladies were sitting at the bar and speaking Spanish. When I saw them later in the hall way, one of them asked me in English if I needed my room cleaned or needed any more towels. I told them my room was good, and they went back to speaking Spanish. I find this very rude and inconsiderate. If you can ask me a question in English, then why don’t you speak in English while having a conversation. Unless your talking about something you shouldn’t be. When I went to another country in the military, I had to learn their language or phrases to speak to them in their language. You came here to live and work, speak the language here (English).
The maintenance and housekeeping...
Read moreI've stayed here a couple times. This last experience ruined it for my husband and I.
The room next to us was being super loud at midnight. They were loud-loud. Using profanities every other word. Obviously drunk. Falling over things. Throwing up. Yelling between the two of them.
After 20 mins I went down to the front desk to complain. They said they would call the room next to us.
We never heard the phone ring in the room. Nor did they go to the room, to tell them to keep it down or at least to use inside voices.
The noise escalated to other intimate activities, and I'm glad I didn't have any kids with me or I would have made a bigger stink about it. No kid should be hearing that kind of stuff.
Even a guy down the hall, probably 4 doors down heard it.
After about 45 total mins my husband called and complained to the front desk. Still nothing.
After an hour of constant noise at 1 am in the morning we both went to the front desk to complain.
The guy pretended to call them right in front of us. My husband has been a hotel GM before and knows the protocols. We asked the guy if he would go to their room and notify them of the complaint.
He first we had to do it. And they he said he can't do it at all unless they are a threat to us.
We asked for another room. It was a holiday and he said there were no available rooms.
We asked for the GMs info. He also pretended to call the GM but his cell phone didnt dial anything out. We could see his phone. He kept saying the GM isn't picking up even when we called him out on his lie.
We asked for the manager on duty's name for the next morning (twice so there was no confusing on what we were asking) and come to find out he gave us his name. He was not on duty the next morning.
But in the morning we talked to someone else who gave us the GMs name. And all of our complaints fell on deaf ears. They don't care.
I have family in that area and I come out of state to visit. Needless to say, we won't be staying...
