Our recent visit to this ihop was absolutely horrible! The worst experience ever in our ihop experience. If I could give a zero rating, I would.
To begin, we were terribly mistreated by our waitress Alex and her manager Katrina on the night shift as they both had very nasty attitudes. Our cold, undercooked food was thrown at us on our table after waiting nearly 40 minutes for the food to arrive as the waitress rudely walked away without saying a single word and bursting into the kitchen nearly breaking the swinging doors off the hinges. She was upset as well as Katrina because we had to call the restaurant phone while sitting in the restaurant at our table to get any help with our order. That is how inattentive to our table they were and we were a decent size party that couldn't be missed. Alex refused to serve us and never returned to our table and Katrina refused to ask if we needed help or anything pertaining to our order unless we flag her down or literally get out of our seats to search for her. However, Katrina walked up to every table around us asking if other guests were okay but deliberately avoided our table by all means. We had only one glass of water with our meal the entire time which was the same water that was brought out 30 minutes prior to our food arriving which was practically an empty glass by the time the food arrived. That nearly caused a choking hazzard with our dry, cold pancakes that they refused to serve warm syrup with when asked. This felt like a total case of discrimination!!
To top it all off, we made it to the restaurant prior to 10p yet after 4p and were in compliance with the kids eat free offer. We take advantage of the offer all the time, so we definitely know the rules. However, Katrina refused to honor the discount even after we thoroughly explained to her that we were in compliance with the offer. After she turned us away for the last time, we refused to pay to be treated like stray dogs and have money practically stolen from us simply because they refused to follow customer requests and offer the discount the company offers its guests. We left the restaurant extremely unhappy and made them fully aware that this incident will be reported to the corporate office, which it has been. We are currently awaiting feedback from corporate as our recent experience at this location is totally unacceptable.
As we were leaving, I heard Katrina yell to another employee, report this as a walk out. I'm sure she said that to save her register from coming up short when the actual issue is, our waitress and Katrina herself totally refused to provide exceptional customer service but rather treat their guests like dirty dogs off the street who absolutely they refused to serve.
Avoid THIS ihop by any means if you want to be treated like a human being who plans to pay your hard earned money to feed your family and enjoy your night out at a restaurant in which you are a loyal repeated...
Read moreYes I came in after a long night of working and gambling at the hard rock and just wanted a decent meal and some dessert to go. Me and my girlfriend we’re sat immediately upon entering. Our server was Destiny at the beginning she was very attentive checked on us a few times while we reviewed the menu. Me and my girlfriend order our meals and said we would like dessert Togo, she asked if we wanted for her to put in our dessert half way through the meal the “strawberry and cream crepes” we said no put it in now so we don’t have to wait for it when we are finished. Also asked her to refill our beverages. 10mins later she bring our meal and asks us if we need anything else I again ask for a refill and we finally get them along with some condiments. She brings them we eat our meal roughly 5 minutes later both our beverages were empty and my girlfriend wanted more salsa for her omelette and all we keep hearing throughout our dining experience is our server and multiple other people yelling in the back of the house laughing and joking around. Finally we get fed up and ask another server doing her side work to please grab our server. She does and immediately when our server comes back to the table she says “check” I reply I guess and ask for a box and our Togo crepes. She says oh yeah I’ll be right back. Brings us a check for our food and no crepes. Then she says the crepes will just be a couple minutes. I work in the service industry and when someone says that it means she forgot to order them. We wait another 5 minutes for the crepes. She brings them out and says she has to grab the ticket for them. Even though we already paid for our food bill. I proceed to look at the strawberry and cream crepes in the Togo boxes and there’s no cream with the crepes... I address the server and say we ordered the ones with cream she says oh let me get that fixed for you goes in the back and hearing another 5 mins of them joking around in the back and she brings me a box with the new crepes at this point I’m fed up and ready to just get out of this establishment and as I’m packing everything in the bag she try’s to tell me I still have to grab you the ticket for that. I laughed and walked out. I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant. I never once saw a manager even though there were multiple instances where a manager should of been called to the table. We will never go to another iHop ever or even refer someone there unless they ask for horrible service and bad customer service. I hope IHOP reads these reviews and respond accordingly cause they have a good location next to the hard rock but after tonight I’d rather drive 5 miles the opposite way and go to a Waffle...
Read moreLocated directly across from the Hard Rock Casino, and adjacent to Catoosa high school, the location makes it a busy stop for lunch and late night visitors. My visit today was for an early Sunday breakfast (0900); we had our fill of inflated casino meal pricing and knew that IHOP would deliver the goods at half the price.
Grounds/Parking: grounds are immaculate, not sure if the grounds are integrated with the shopping center, but kudos for landscaping, and a clean large parking area. Most IHOP parking lots on Sunday morning are littered with Saturday night beer cans and trash, someone had this place spotless at 0900; good job !
Interior: Standard IHOP seating, however the building has large bay windows on three sides, lots of natural light which brightens the usual drab IHOP interiors. Interior, like the exterior, was clean, no sticky tables or seating, empty tables are bussed and cleaned promptly.
Food: We ordered the true and tried “quick breakfast”: Eggs over easy, bacon, pancakes, Pot of Coffee. Order was received promptly, and food was delivered hot. Although the food was good, the portions have shrunk, considerably, since our last visit six months ago. The eggs are small, bacon tiny, my spouses sausages look like Vienna cocktail wieners. Pancakes were normal, but the syrup was unmarked and contained some generic “goo” (I’m from Vermont, so I’m usually Karen-picky about fake syrup). Coffee was okay. I had to mark down the rating from a five to a four because of the serving sizes, perhaps this is unfair as the portion size reduction was likely a corporate decision, and the IHOP locations are forced to buy from the “company store”.
Service: A bit lackluster. Waitress was not very friendly, but it’s an early Sunday morning shift and no one is too “Flo” bubbly at that hour. She did take our order promptly, order was accurate, and checkout fast and painless; all is forgiven.
Overall I recommend this place for road warriors, but especially for casino patrons that want a decent meal without the casino extracting your remaining cash. The food size portions have taken a hit, likely corporate wide, but it’s still a good value compared to the casino, or the “popular” breakfasts places with an hour...
