My dog Koko has been getting groomed since she was a puppy she is now 3 years old. She is a aussie-doodle mini. I moved to Catoosa about a year ago and changed her grooming location to the Catoosa store and it has been HELL to say the least. They lack knowledge on how to groom dogs as I asked for a “teddy bear cut” and they literally shaved my dog face and all. I gave them another chance and they shaved my dogs body and left the rest the same saying “she was bitting them” (she is the most mello dog so this was shocking to me) I went and picked her up and whatever they did to her, my dog literally threw up all day because of the stress they put her through. I called (I had to call 3 times before my call was answered) to ask who groomed her and that I was a little shocked at what they said she was doing and the stores Lead groomer, who sounded very ignorant and had a lack of knowledge, told me I needed to take my dog somewhere they can sedate her because she is too much for them to handle ( Payton was the “groomer” who could not handle my dog and I’m pretty sure my dog was only her 2nd dog she has groomed ever) I’m in disbelief and I tried to tell this Lead groomer that I feel my dog was mis handled as she is not an aggressive dog and she literally hung up on me and refused to give me her name. I pay for vital care and have been a member sense 2019. I will be canceling my membership asap and I would recommend anyone and everyone to never take your dog to get groomed at this store unless you want your dog to be traumatized and then blamed for their lack of knowledge. I would like to end with, after my experience I went and did my research of this store, which I should have done before hand and them being rude and not having experienced groomers and leaving the animal traumatized is an on going issue not to mention other store issues like the care of the cats they have for adoption. Read moreThis store was new to I me andstarted to buy my fish food and everything from them about a month ago becuase they are closer. I purchased multiple new aquariums and signed up for palsrewards. At the time of purchase I asked if I needed to keep receipts and they said they can look up receipts so if something went wrong they could just look them up. Well I came in becuase one of my new 10 gallon tanks cracked shortly after laser leveling the stands and setting them up. I came back in and they said I needed original receipt.. I told them I was assured while signing up for palsrewards that they could look it up.. well they said they could look it up but manager told them not to do it anymore.. which seems very dishonest. Second issue they said they price match any big store like PetSmart and so on and they did price match some stuff in the past but they quit doing that all of a sudden also even after I called in before driving there.. they say they still price match but they really don't anymore becuase there stipulation according to what they were told by manager again was that they only match there own stores!smh the only other way they will match now is if you take a picture with your own phone of the product on a self at another place with it in stock!! Like why wouldn't I just buy it if it's right in front of me instead of driving back to Petco to pay the same price.... Just say you don't price match people instead of wasting people's time.. They have lost thousands of dollars of buisness from me becuase I will only go there if I absolutely have to becuase of the managers very dishonest practices. Read moreIf I could put zero stars, I would. This store has gone completely downhill with their staff. The manager on duty was a young guy and he was very rude while I was shopping to replace a hamster that had passed away. This is the sole pet store we buy all our items for our dogs, cat, Guinea pig, hamster, and fish at. Or should I say WAS. He would not let us purchase a new hamster because he didn’t know the exact enclosure we had, even though we told him it had been purchased at Catoosa Petco originally and was bigger than the enclosure they keep the hamsters in, in the store. He also let me know this is policy because you have to sign a waiver to buy animals.. we’ve never signed a waiver to buy our Guinea pig or hamster previously at the same location so this was very interesting to hear. I was in the day before and let the manager know we had never had to sign waivers before.. to which he responded “do you know who sold them to you? Because now I have to get them in trouble.” We were also told during our first trip into Petco that you can price match items in the store with their app to get better prices. The manager guy told me “yeah you price match too much, the store loses money.” Very rude and hateful towards me.
