I have been going to Joyful Day Spa for eyelash extensions for 2 solid years with no problem AT ALL. My concern was always lash health and Joy assured me as long as lashes were applied correctly she has had clients that have continuously had them for 7 years and counting with no damage. Joy went on maternity leave so I tried out Skin and Brow during her absence. First appointments were really great at the southside location. I missed Joy but sadly continued S&B for a couple of more convenience of hours. I eventually tried out the Gunbarrel location and the technician was super nice but the lashes did not last as per usual and looked matted. When I went in for a fill in back at the Southside location the technician politely but with concern asked where did you get your lashes done last because you have had some damage to your lashes. I told her name of technician and location. She said she could not do the same length/volume as usual because I had such damage done to my eyelashes and suggested I come in a week later for additional lashes when my natural lashes filled back in more. I waited two weeks and booked with a different Southside employee and she not knowing about my situation also started talking about the damage done to my lashes and how she can’t go the length I use to go and I need to either take 6-8 weeks off of doing lashes so I can let my natural lashes grow or buy their $150 lash serum!!! I also looked on Gunbarrels website and you can still book with the technician who glued my lashes together and broke them.
