This was our first time eating here and the food was amazing! Everything is fresh and homemade. The selection and prices are good for the type of food you get and they have sooo many choices. We tried the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, squash casserole, broccoli casserole, cucumber salad, pecan rice pilaf, brunswick stew and southwest corn chowder. The $5 portions of the sides will feed a family of three adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The full size meatloaf was enough for two days for the same amount of people with a little left over for a sandwich. This is a great option for working parents and couples of all ages. You can mix and match and cut down your time in the kitchen without sacrificing quality home cooked meals. Just decide what you can cook and supplement the rest. My first meal that I mixed with some home cooked food sides and their meatloaf and potatoes came out to $5-$7 per person based on family of 3-4. That’s better than almost any takeout and it’s all homemade quality. After speaking with the staff, many items will hold in the fridge for several days from when they are made and you can freeze other with ease. This is a great little find and I will definitely be back! Thank you for an exceptional...
Read moreMy wife and I eat there often because the food, in my opinion is right at 5 stars. Having said that, the past 2 times we ate there the service was equalled to less than you would get at the Waffle House! Granted, not all of the waitresses ignored us.....just ours! My wife asked for a straw for her tea, "I'll be right back she said". FINALLY another waitress saw that we were needing something and brought her a straw. Not a big deal you say, what about when the tea was empty and we finally got our waitress to stop, and asked for more tea. "Right away" she said. After getting NO REFILL on the tea, another waitress came by and saw our glasses empty and brought more tea. I REALLY wanted to try the dessert but was afraid I would never see it. Long story short, the food was great as usual but this is the SECOND time we have gotten this waitress and the results has been the same both times. If i am going to go out and pay my hard earned money for a good meal and good service........I expect good service. I do thank the other waitress for taking care of us. Not going to print names but the waitress' initials are M.H. Shouldn't be to difficult to figure out if you...
Read moreGood local restaurant in Chattanooga TN. Has daily specials similar to a meat and 3 type place, but it is so much more. They have delectable deserts and a solid menu just in case you don't want the meat & 3. Personally I prefer their oysters and shrimp, but their shrimp and grits along with the 2 dozen or so other menu items have yet to disappoint.
4 stars out of 5 mainly due to the seating arrangements. If they had a better layout and were a bit faster bringing out the cornbread and drop cornbread while you are waiting on your meal I would have given them five stars. Oh and a couple of time we have been there and they "forget" that you asked for extra mayo or no ice in your drink.
Don't get me wrong the staff is super nice. I feel they are just in so big of a hurry during lunch they either "forget" special requests or they are new help. Anyway the fat man loves the food here and if they get a little better on the service side of things I may revisit and give them the five star rating I know they...
