Ralph Lauren — Local services in Chicago

I went in today with my boyfriends family and were looking for additions to his closet. His mom spoke little english, and at first were accommodating and nice. But then I asked another man(white hair with glasses) that wasn't busy to try something on while the original man was helping my boyfriend. The man was very short and unwelcoming, but I wasn't thinking anything of it until the end of our experience. The older gentleman(white hair and glasses) went up to the man, that was ringing up his mom at checkout, a couple remarks along the lines of, “she was so weird she didn't even tell me you were already helping her, ugh i cant with these people” with a very rude attitude. I didn't believe he was talking about me because I was polite. We ended up spending a good amount and when I said a final thank you and goodbye to the man(white hair and glasses) that helped me, he gave me the coldest rudest stare I have ever experienced. I continued to look at him a but confused when I heard him say, “ oh my gosh she was so rude weren't you already helping her, these people dont know how to act and then scoffed ” with more attitude then last time. This was, without a doubt, the most amazing customer service experience I've ever had. From the moment I walked into the store, I was in awe. The beautifully dressed mannequins and the stunning upstairs area left me speechless.

As I explored the upstairs rooms with my brother, I couldn’t stop talking about all the Ralph Lauren facts I knew. I was pointing out pieces I found beautiful and sharing the history of Ralph Lauren and his design house. After about 45 minutes of this, while showing my brother one of the rooms, a gentleman who worked there approached us.

He said, "I heard you talking about Ralph Lauren and love your appreciation and passion. So, take this—it’s our last one. I think it will interest you." He then handed me a newspaper all about Ralph Lauren.

This act of kindness went above and beyond anything I could have expected. Hearing the excitement in my voice, he took the time to find something special and personally hand it to me. It’s a gesture I will never forget.

Between this man’s incredible customer service and Ralph Lauren’s exceptional craftsmanship, I will forever recommend the brand. I never got his name, but if he happens to see this, I hope he knows how much his thoughtful gesture meant to me.
