I think that Whole Foods has a growth opportunity to lead the industry in plastic packaging reduction, by giving customers the option of choosing more eco friendly options.
Even if it did not benefit the planet, giving plastic free options would increase revenue for Whole Foods, based on my experiences in the last month, since I have committed to drastically cutting my plastic usage.
I have gone from buying groceries every 7-10 days to buying groceries every 1-2 days. I am eating produce, bulk items, eggs, fresh bread that I have sliced for me, fresh meat and fish. I am refusing to buy fresh produce that is wrapped in plastic.

I miss the days of onsite chefs and wonderful flavors. The hot bar also is no longer clean and organized looking. And your staff, though still wonderful over all, seem demoralized. The stores, also, are dingier and messier than they used to be.
The hot bar was my biggest draw to your location as most of the brands you carry can be purchased elsewhere.
The Amazonification of Whole Foods has not been an improvement!
P.S. I tried calling your office to complain but there seemed to be a bit of an issue with your voice...

Whole Foods, IS starting to become like, “every OTHER store chain, in the world!”.... WHOLE FOODS was UNIQUE and...
