This morning I woke up with a brutal hangover. My baby mom was in my ear all morning and I just knew it was going to be a problem. You know how I do, I kickflipped out of my third story apartment and grinding down the fire escape to do a back flip into my Honda civic. Before you could say “rockstar energy” I was hitting the road.
I made my way to the casino and had to park. I only drank 2 rockstars on the way, so you know ya boy was a little tired. My baby mom was blowing up my phone so I put it on so not disturb (while my AirPods were playing the hit group Disturbed “down with the sickness”) and I decided it was time to get a coffee.
You know me, I only drink the best speedway coffee each morning. In lieu of there being no gas station in Pendleton, I decided to hit the pavement and go to Urbana. Now THIS is a classy establishment. The clerks clearly could feel my raw energy as I came in, as I was greeted with a smile. I ordered 37 espresso shots with sugar and milk. They accommodated, and it was the most delicious drink I’ve ever had. That’s when I knew I had to do the Tour de France here.
I ordered one of everything. I slid my (baby mom’s paycore) card and I tried it all. Foamy lattes, cold ice tea, black coffee, banana bread, croissant, breakfast sandwich, cookie, orange juice. You want it? This place has it. (No slim Jim’s though, kind of crazy)
Either way I bounced out and I went to the casino. I hit the double jackpot twice so I might buy that place...
Read moreMy new go-to coffee spot on the weekends. It's become my special treat to come here after a long week at work. Location is fantastic, its nestled quietly in the small side streets of the city and yet super easy to find and get to. The decor is inside is very modern and up to date, love the feel of this place. Their menu is pretty standard for a coffee joint but they do it right. I always get the iced vanilla latte and it's amazing every single time. Not at all like Starbucks where it's hit or miss every time you order, not to mention it's less expensive! The ham and cheese croissant is also to die for, can't wait to try more of their baked goods. To top it off this place is dog friendly which is great for dog owners like me who want to pop in for a drink and a bite to go on their way to take their dog to the park just down the street. Love the staff as well, Trevor and Megan...
Read moreFirst time in Cincy and I tried a couple of coffee shops and this was by far my favorite. I travel frequently through cities of all sizes and all over the US and I'm always seeking out the best coffee. To me the best coffee is about quality of milk, grind, pour, customer service, and ambience. This place succeeds in all those areas. This is the best mocha I've had in months. Perfect creamy milk (they use a great brand that is a bit different than everything else so it is super cream), just the right amount of chocolate and perfectly roasted espresso. To top it off everyone who works there is friendly, they're excited to have you there, and they want you to love your experience. I met the owner and it was wonderful to hear more about Cincy from his perspective. It's also very dog friendly and they make killer sounding bagels and other baked goods I wish I had been hungry...
