PNC Bank — Local services in Cincinnati

My first visit to this bank will be my last. I went with the simple purpose of obtaining larger to include with a card as a wedding gift. I had $140 in $20 bills and $10 in $5 & asked for a $100 and $50 bill. The teller was pleasant enough, until she informed me that I would not be able to be granted this service unless I had an account with PNC.

Is that not absurd? Firstly, this is American currency, at a bank dealing heavily in American currency. Second, this is a single, small transaction, but lastly, this information, this policy is somehow supposed to endear me to PNC? Somehow supposed to make me want to become a PNC customer? Thanks but no thanks. I walked the few extra blocks to Fifth Third Bank in Fountain Square where they happily made the exchange without asking whether I had an account there. That is one of many reasons why...

Second attempt for a transaction is my last. Needed 1's and 5's. Have five different accounts with PNC (2 checking, 1 savings, 1 credit card, 1 line of credit for home) and will definitely be switching to another bank as they will only help people with business...
