The Righteous Room — Restaurant in Cincinnati

This place was HORRIBLE. I have never given a bad review, but this time it is much needed. Last night, the bartender took 20min to serve 5 drinks!!!!! He was moving from one end of his section to the other, and by the time he got back to the middle, ALL 8 of the people standing/sitting in his section were aggitated because their glasses had been empty for so long. He a was more concerned about mixing the drinks while dancing with the shaker, than he was getting the paying customers what they ordered. I MEAN REALLY?! 20 MIN and made a total of 5 drinks!? That's not a bartender that should be working Saturday nights, or be employed as such.

It is safe to say I left after waiting patiently for 20, and explained to the bouncer what happened. I was well dressed, and it was clear that I came with the intention of spending money. Even though the bouncer was kind enough to offer to pay for our drinks and was very apologetic, I declined because it was too late in the night, and since there were 4 of us, we would rather go to another bar than have to wait another 15 min while the bartender finally made our drinks.

Just left the Righteous Room (one of my favorite spots in Cincy/ check my social media accounts for the praise and $$$ I give this place). I walk in tonight with a back pack on (I'm a contractor and had a job downtown) and the rude bartender (Afro - American guy/worked 4/17/23 @9:45pm) treated me so rude and mean. I can only assume he thought I was homeless therefore he felt as if he could be an @$$hole immediately. I drink Oban 15 and 12 and JwB blk, green and blue (though RR only sells McCallan 12). Point Im making...his customer service was very uncalled for and rude (chk the tape as the owner)... Needless to say I decided not to spend my hard earned money tonight at one of my favorite spots because of THE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE ON A MONDAY NIGHT. There are times you may have a wonderful experience. I have had some at this beautiful bar. I like the stained glass door and decor. The disco ball is huge! If you would like a drink they have different bartenders. Sometimes you have one that makes the best drinks, they’re all delicious they don’t have to repeatedly look at the recipe, or maybe you get a bartender that is either on their phone texting or doing shots with their friends so you stand there for minutes waiting. Those would both be lucky compared to the bartender that only works there one night a week has no interest in their job to care enough to learn the menu so makes inconsistent drinks. Don’t dare ask them why it’s different or for a more palatable drink. This in returns gets you a water downed drink that they stare out you and hound you to say it’s good.
