This is located in the 5th street arcade downtown. She has about 20,000 sq feet of space and there is something for everyone.

Coco plants- there is a small shop in the front that sells plants in cute pots and various other items.

Coco's Chalky Paints- CoCo has a very interesting story which I would encourage you to have a tour of her space and get the story straight from her. At any rate she sells a product that she formulated with help from a person who stayed in her house (Air B&B). This product will turn regular paint into chalky paint at a fraction of the cost. This enables you to undertake large paint projects while using chalky paint without breaking the bank. In addition to selling the powder she also offers classes where she teaches a couple of techniques used when doing paint pouring. Her classes are great for girls night out, date night, family fun day whatever occasion you can come up with to gather together with friends and get creative. You can also bring drinks and snacks. I made four coasters and paid the extra 10$ to have them coated with an epoxy. I prefer the shiny finish.

Coco also has vintage items for sell in her shop. She found most of the items on the side of the road or in some similar fashion. She then cleans them up, restores or potential using chalky paint to alter them. So things get donated other things she sells. I recommend just going into the shop and looking around at all the antiques.

Within her shop she also has spaces that other people utilize. There is a shop downstairs that is only open on Saturdays. The lady is selling random old school items. It reminds me of one of those shops on Lorain.

There is so much art on display and for purchase. You can literally create, consume and buy in one place.

I accidentally found this place walking through the 5th Street Arcade one day, and have been back a few times with friends and family. However, my most memorable visit occurred this week when I brought my daughters to the store to meet the resident artist (Mark). You cannot stop at Cocos without meeting Mark. He is the kind gentleman that will teach you how to paint tiles using Cocos Chalky Paints. However, if you have something else you want to paint, and have a little extra money, Mark will help you bring out that little artist hiding inside.

He did that with my girls when they wanted to paint matching tables that they picked up from Goodwill. The girls walked over to the shop 4-days in a row to work on their art project, and each time they were welcomed and met more artists and passerby’s (like we were initially).

The girls also met Coco, received a personalized tour of the store, and spent time talking with Coco about her career and the history of the store. She is an amazing woman and showed my girls that they always have a place to visit the next time they are...

Lady seemed nice at 1st! The place is mediocre at best although there are some decent pieces... was really pushy for a review offered a free goodie bag if you leave her a good review... upon leaving I bought a bag that had no price tag one lady said it was $19.99 then the owner turns around during purchase and says no its $25 for a cheaply made canvas tote... nonetheless my dad bought it, and mentioned to the owner that we left a review she acted shocked then before handing us a bag she says let me see the review! We showed her and received a bag... later after opening a "pamper bag" it was just a few dollar items from rite aid not pampering products a kids skittles lotion lip balm a clear zipper rite aid bag and some Hershey kisses! Not too sure how to pamper myself with that. We were hoping it would be the boutiques products maybe in like a travel size or something bath salts face mask / scrub somethin! I could've used that $25 on real pamper products as I work in the beauty industry! Nonetheless be cautions of reviews you never know...
