Lived in Cleveland for almost 9 years and because there’s nothing else closer I go to McCoy’s. Every time I come here I have a different experience but leaving at disbelief on how this people treat there customers and it’s only this store. I have been to the McCoy’s in Baytown, Pearland and Katy as I travel all over the area but the one in Cleveland is like the redhead step child. This people are rude, unprofessional and feel like they are racist. I am a professional Latino and don’t like to play the race card but it is hard to feel a certain way when the manager tells you to leave an item at the register when you are trying to exchange it for something else and following you through out the store like your going to steal something. Felt very uncomfortable. On Friday 10-18 went to see about buying some tools, primer and paint and as my wife and I were waiting in line to talk to the lady behind the register to ask for someone to help us in the paint department. Another Customer was standing close by looking to be closed out and a lady that was in the painting department that ignored us the first time when we were in the painting department decided to close out that customer bypassing us altogether. As like we were not even there. We dropped the small basket and walked out. We went to another store Potetz home center and we were treated with respect and the staff was very friendly and helpful just like every business should be. We spent over $200 in the store. So I will never go back to McCoy’s again or recommend them to anyone. I have spent lots of money with McCoy buying doors, plywood, 4x4’s, insulation, well Thousands of dollars......
Read moreWas in the Cleveland, Tx store with my wife to get some home project stuff. I generally don't pay attention to most people's attitude and just pass it off that maybe they're having a bad day but I truly didn't appreciate the way my wife was treated by one particular employee by the name of Sandra. She was outright rude to my wife and acted as if my wife was beneath her in every way possible. My wife was visibly upset and was almost ready to go to management. I just told her we would go elsewhere and spend our money. Not sure what's happened to the service at this particular place and I will admit that I didn't go there much to begin with, but it IS closer than most others. From now on, we will go to Home Deport or Lowes in Porter or Kingwood. Maybe I should have let my wife go to management so that it could be handled but not sure how long this person has been working there. If it's been longer than a year, it's my opinion that she doesn't need to be anywhere...
Read moreMy contractor recommended in using Mccoys to buy everything for my new house we are building from the ground up. I was sent to the commercial sales office to get some information on Special order windows and doors. After standing there for 10 minutes an employee, Cherri walked in to her office without asking if I had been helped. When I tried to get her attention, I heard slamming and walked up to me and asked How can I help you.. I proceeded to ask her about getting information on windows and doors and she said “ Ma’am I am extremely busy right now, Ill try my best I can to help you but, the girls up front are more than capable to help you out with this information as well.” I just told her I was sorry for bothering her and walked away. Such a shame to have employees like that, that put a bad name...
