He has called other specialists right in my presence to make sure he is ordering the correct diagnostic imaging. He gets back to me quickly with lab or x-ray results. He has referred me to specialists that are first class. Above all, he is very caring, compassionate, upbeat, and just very personable. He has fit me in when his schedule is full. I felt like he abandoned my husband in his time of need. I understand Covid concerns. But he didn’t show any compassion. I asked if we could come in and get tested and he said “no I don’t want COVID”. Finally he had his staff reach out to take a covid test. I got one too. I found out my results today but they wouldn’t share my husband’s until late tomorrow. He of course is in ER now. And at the time I called an ambulance I couldn’t tell the ambulance people or ER whether he was positive and the office knew at the time I was on the phone with the office. Was a no frills...business like visit. Which is o.k....I got good information concerning appts. That need to be made to figure out treatment. Was given a prescription of gabapenton 300 mg. 2x'day. Turned out to be too strong. This is my 4th day of not taking any & am still feeling the effects. After 2nd day of 2 doses...could not get out of bed for an hr. Was stumbling. Could not hold anything-things kept falling out of hand. Sat down to text, watch a movie, etc...just kept falling asleep. Terrible. very frustrated to find pain relief. Motrin (not recommended) was the only thing that gave relief of this...
