Me and my grandson lives in coronado close to paws ,we bought a dog from a person who advertised in a group on Facebook , the dog breed was Pomeranian whom we were very interested to own one, so we called the owners right away and we went and picked up a beautiful little dog we fall in love with him right a way, after a day or two we contacted Paws so they can give him all his shots de warm and neuter him and after the owner of Paws told us that after we finish vaccinating him she will put him for adoption and she will contact us first to go adopt him back, next day the owner said that Rio the dog was sick and he needs to be treated for a month or more and when he gets better she will contact us , after a month and a half I called the owner of Paws to see if he is back so we can pick him up, she told us that he was adopted by the foster family whom he staid with for his treatment , we weâre miss led and weâre giving wrong information because she gave us wrong information and did not inform us from the beginning that he might be adopted by the foster family who treated him and was giving to them instead of treating him in one of their rehabs , if she told us from the beginning and after we found out he was sick we could treated him our selves. When I texted her today she was very Rode and she gave us wrong information , I would not recommend anybody to foster or adopt from Paws because the owner was (Diss honest) and made us loose our dog...
Read morePAWS is, hands down, the most frustrating and unprofessional adoption organization Iâve ever dealt with. If youâre looking to bring home a pet, be prepared for an absolute circus of incompetence and condescension. Their application process is unnecessarily tedious, and instead of guiding you through it, their staff treats you like youâre the problem for wanting to adopt. Questions? Met with vague, dismissive responses. Transparency? Doesnât exist. They act like itâs a privilege for you to even be considered, all while making the process as agonizing as possible. And letâs talk about their attitudeâbecause wow. Instead of being passionate about finding homes for animals, they seem more interested in gatekeeping the process and making potential adopters jump through pointless hoops. The sheer level of unprofessionalism is astonishing. If you manage to get through their ridiculous process without losing your sanity, congratulationsâyou deserve a medal. But honestly, youâre better off taking your time, energy, and money somewhere that actually wants to see animals in good homes. PAWS is a joke, and unfortunately, the punchline is at the expense of both adopters and the pets that desperately need homes. To top it all off they had told my husband and I they went with another adopter only to find out that the dog is still available...
Read moreTruly disappointing, I would give it no stars if I had a chance. My family and I just moved and were in search of a dog. We found a beautiful younger wired haired terrier in need of a home and immediately jumped on. After contacting Paws we were told that the dog was still available and we can come check him out. Today my parents went to go look at him in the morning. HE WAS THE BEST!!! We immediately fell in love with him more than we loved him in pictures. He was very energetic and super smart. We were told that the dog would be ours and the other applications would be thrown away. This evening we get an email that the dog needs to put under behavioral training and they were no longer interested in looking for a new home for him. This is seriously so screwed up, why would bother to play with our emotions. They knew that we were ready for the challenge, WE KNEW WHAT WE WERE GETTING OURSELVES INTO. We knew he needed training because his is still a young dog. We even said we would pay for professional training but they said no. We just don't get why they don't want a loving sweet family to expand. Let me know if this has...
