I don't often try to leave bad reviews especially to local businesses. But this one is just real awful. I'm not sure but I'm quite offended with the treatment I got from a barista yesterday. I ordered a mint mocha with added whipped cream on top. She had to make me repeat whipped cream and doesn't understand what I meant by whipped cream. She made me very uncomfortable when she wants me to pronounce it her way. I am not from California, I have a different accent but English is my first language, please understand. At first, they weren't kind to begin with. One male barista already complained, "just when we're about to close they all come in" and is frustrated. But I came there at 6pm, and business closes at 8:30pm. I understand it's a long day for them probably and they're either tired or hate their job but please don't hate people for just wanting to come to get some coffee. She asks me if I want oat milk but I said no. I repeated that I do want a whipped cream on top. When I got my drink, it was funny and annoying at the same time because they got a cream and actually whipped it to the point it looks like a big chunk of butter. I politely did asked if I can get an actual whipped cream (I showed a picture to them). One male barista argued it's an in-house made whipped cream. I appreciate that but with a slight bit of common sense it shouldn't look like that. They did have that whipped cream (the one in a bottle can) and the female barista pulled it out and said, "tell me when" lol. I asked if they have dome lids, and she said, "we're not like starbucks." Love the coffee cart! I’ve been a regular ever since I moved but as someone who works in the service industry the service here is a severe hit or miss. A lot of the baristas are standoffish or show no customer service skill at all, whenever I have a good service experience it’s usually when the owner is there. On google and instagram closing hours say 8:30, this usually means in general they won’t serve you past this or 5-10 minutes before. Got to the cart around 8-8:10 and was standing there a bit, these other girls seemed to be looking at the menu for a while way before and they didn’t seem to have gotten a warning either. I would say I stood there for a few minutes and there was a barista in front of me doing her thing but didn’t say a single word, no “sorry we are not taking orders” or “we close in 5 minutes” I just stood there for a bit like an idiot. Another girl comes around shuts the shudder and say “sorry guys are closed”, it wasn’t 8:30 yet and as selfish as it may seem as a coffee company it’s expected by a customer to make a quick coffee that takes you 5 minutes max, I’m not asking for a whole meal especially because I arrived closing hours. It felt very rude and not something I want to experience at a business. If I’m in the wrong and you feel as if your employees are in the right I suggest you change your hours! Your times mean when you stop serving not 20 minutes before so your employees can leave at 8:30. Fantastic little coffee stand right by the Coronado Bay. It has the most beautiful view of all of San Diego and Coronado beach. There is also all sorts of things happening there for example live music, entertainment for kids and lots and lots of different styles of restaurants. We were approached by two at the workers at the Coronado coffee company who helped us a lot by suggesting what are the most favorite and popular coffee drinks there. I decided to go with that iced white mocha and the rest decided to go with three nuts but since they were out of cashews they just did it were to nuts, almonds and walnuts. After a few minutes of standing by and enjoying the view and listening to the live music our coffees are already. I can confidently say that this was one of the best coffee I've ever had. It was rich and delicious not too sweet and very satisfying. I only wish they had a location closer to Glendale area so I can have it...
