This review is long overdue, but I'm happy to finally write it. Back in July (during July 4th week) My family and I rented Three Jet Ski's for 2 Hours. About a month or so before we wanted to Jet Ski I had begun searching for places around SD to rent good quality Jet Ski's that also offered a great value and beautiful views. I thought we were going to have to go all the way down to Imperial Beach, but then I came across San Diego Jet Ski Rentals while strolling near the Ferry Landing in Coronado, and I was really excited to see this newer business had popped up.
Before scheduling a reservation, I called and spoke with Christian who was very kind and super helpful in answering all of my questions. After speaking with him and confirming with my family which date we wanted to jet ski, I went online and booked our Three Jet Ski's for 2 Hours right away as I knew it was possible for them to book up quickly since we were going to be renting during July 4th week.
The morning of our reservation I received a text from Jack reminding me to arrive 30min before our reservation to complete waivers, and check identification. For convenience we all had completed our waivers online beforehand but some of them didn't show up in their system. This wasn't a big deal as once we arrived they had multiple iPads and iPhones to be used to complete the waivers onsite in a quick and timely manner. Jack was very kind and helpful as well!
After getting all checked in we met Paul at the dock and he supplied us with PFD's, and a place to keep our belongings at the dock (not secured but someone is always there to supervise), or there is a small compartment on the Jet Ski for small items. Paul was super nice and informative when going over how to safely and properly use the Sea-Doo's. Before we knew it we were ready to launch!
My family and I had an absolute blast!! SD Jet Ski Rentals Sea-Doo's are brand new and in great condition, and truly provided a fantastic experience. In my opinion this is one of the best places to rent, not just because of the convenience and great customer service, but also because 1) there are no 5mph channels (which can cut into your rental time), 2) their current price of $99/Hour is a great value compared to other rental places, AND 3) the views are absolutely gorgeous! Also their dock is located close to public restrooms and restaurants as well!
I would 100% recommend San Diego Jet Ski Rentals, and my family and I are hoping to rent from them again next year!
P.S. We were sooo excited we failed to take a photo. Hence why there isn't a photo attached to this review. However if there was, we would have all been smiling...
Read moreWe had a great time. We were a group of 7, celebrating father's day. The pontoon boat we rented was spacious, comfortable and fun to use, though it was a little old and had a sticky throttle. The gentlemen working at the dock were very friendly and accommodating and helpful. We brought food and drinks, got to tour the entire bay from Coronado bridge, all the way to Point Loma.
This would be a 5 star review if it wasn't for the terrible welcome we got. I HATE writing bad reviews about staff, but since I'm assuming the young lady who we met was the owner's entitled daughter, I won't count her as staff. The young lady was approx. 23 years old, blonde, and REALLY didn't want to be there. We had to pry answers from her about basic topics. "Do you need our ID?" her- "umm yeah." us: ok, here you go. Her to my wife: "no not yours. you're not driving, are you?" Do we need to fill out a waiver? her: "yeah." ...and then she just sat there until I asked her to give me the waiver form. Her answers were always short and given with condescension. We were taken aback by how rude she was. When we asked her if she had all she needed from us, she simply said "yeah". we stood there awkwardly for about 2 minutes, then she said; "you can just like, wait over there." without even gesturing where.
I feel like she was trying hard to come across as rude. Not sure if she just hated being there, or if it was about class, or race or if she just thought dealing with customers was beneath her. We checked in in 2 groups, my wife and I 1st, then everyone else separately. everyone was shocked by her behavior.
I would've walked away immediately at that point if my daughter and wife hadn't...

My friends and I (a group of 4) went jet skiing here. After our ride ended, the owner suddenly claimed that the bottom of the seat on one of the jet skis was broken. It was very suspicious how they discovered that damage, especially since it’s not visible from the outside and we were never shown or told to check anything before the ride.
He asked us if we had an accident — we didn’t. We explained that if the damage was bad enough to break the seat, then there should be visible damage on the other jet skis too (since we were riding close to each other). He refused to listen, became aggressive, and started shouting.
We calmly said it’s possible the damage was there before, especially since we never inspected the jet skis when we got on (which I now highly recommend everyone to do and record). After we said this, the owner completely lost it — started swearing at us and using extremely rude language. He kept repeating that he didn’t need to show us any proof and said “watch how I charge you” because he had my credit card on file.
Just 20 seconds after we left the property, he charged me $1,000 without my authorization. We kept asking him to show any damage on the other jet skis — he ignored us and told us to leave while continuing to insult us.
I strongly advise against coming here. The owner is extremely rude and disrespectful, and gets aggressive very quickly. He charged me for damage that may have already existed and refused to show any proof.
STAY AWAY — this place is a total scam. Protect yourself and don’t give them...
