When I started writing this review, I was going to give a one star. The (bald) gentleman behind the counter never acknowledged me or my family of 7. Actually, I felt like he was monitoring the entire family making sure nothing was missing from his shelves. I asked 5 of my family members to wait outside in the mall area while I shopped. I really liked a Santa that was for sale. My husband asked him for the price due to my uneasiness of the entire welcoming. I was surprised that his demeanor suddenly changed from what I felt was profiling to friendliness and then proceeded to tell us about the owner and how she came to purchasing the store. We got the original price, then the sale price. Throughout the sale, he made small talk and smiled a lot. I asked for a box to carry out my now purchased Santa and informed he had no boxes or bubble wrap to send item safely home. I asked if they ship and was told no shipping available due to the owner not wanting to ship anything anymore. The gentleman may not be approachable or seem friendly, but he really is a nice man. As a customer we shouldn't have to work hard for an employees friendly customer service, it should come natural, but maybe changing your perspective in people does help. I gave this man another chance to make it right and he did which is why my honest review is listed. The shop is cute and reasonably priced. Maybe they wait until most of the merchandise is sold to reorder, but I hope they...
Read moreWe visited this store a couple of weeks ago, while in Texas for the first time, for a couple of days. We were taken back by the unfriendly welcome from the man running the store. It didnt bother me that he came to the back of the store, as if to rearrange something, but really to ensure that I wasn't stealing. It was when I asked a simple question, that he was very abrupt (or polite sarcasm some might say). There's no question he could obviously tell we weren't from the south, but he didn't care! His mannerism was uncalled for. There was a negative rebuttal for everything I said. First of all sir, if you don't like customer service, then perhaps a different job might be more suitable. If you're having an off day, take a breather. However, if it's racial attitude, well that's between you and God! Set aside from that, Texas was lovely!!! Looking forward to...
Read moreMy boyfriend accidentally broke a souvenir when it teetered off the shelf.. the rude old bald man came up and my boyfriend was picking it up and apologizing profusely while handing him the pieces. The old guy said "whoops! Will that be cash or card?" And we were charged $35 dollars for it, and wasn't even given all the parts for the broken item to fix. He was so so rude the whole time while sitting there making my boyfriend feel bad, as if he already didn't feel bad enough. Don't waste your time and money they don't care and just are...
