Travis Salon Uptown — Local services in Dallas

So, I've had a shaved head for the past 5 years. Before then, I'd just go to those cheap $5 haircut places and get the generic mens cut ha. I've been growing it out for over 2 months now, and got to the point where I needed to do something with it. Asian hair grows out kinda weird... like puffy and straight out. So, I started researching mens hair salons in my area and came across Travis Salon and all the positive reviews. I can see why!

I e-mailed Tim, let him know of my situation and that I really had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair, and we set an appointment. The salon is pretty cool, looks like they turned a nice little Uptown house into a salon. He gave my wife and I beers as we walked in and the atmosphere was very relaxed and chill. I showed him a few pictures on my phone I pulled off the internet of certain hairstyles I'd like to emulate, and we were on the same page. (messy combover kinda look)

Shampoo, haircut, shampoo, and style. For a guy who's been shaving his own head for the past 5 years, this was a different experience for me ha. Love the way it turned out, Tim really knows what he's doing. My wife and I were very impressed with how everything looked.

I wish I could give out ten stars, because I could not be happier with my hair. Manuel is amazingly talented. I had been going to the same hairdresser all my life until I moved 900 miles away this year. I've been trying to find someone I could trust just as much, and I'm so thankful I came across this place. I had gotten highlights at a different uptown salon last week and they could not have made my hair look any more disastrous. I’ve gotten multiple great haircuts at this salon, but the most recent was my favorite! Sasha cut my hair from halfway down my back to just above my shoulders. I was nervous about how it would turn out, but Sasha did amazing! The way she cut the layers perfectly complements my wave pattern, making my hair look styled even when it’s just air dryed. I’ve never gotten as many compliments on my hair from strangers after literally just rolling out of bed.
