It is so refreshing to have a boutique in the area that carries all the trending styles I’m looking for at an affordable price! I’m an avid online shopper and although I’ve purchased from Shellsea online for a while now, nothing compares to shopping in-store! The atmosphere is welcoming, the store itself is so cute, and it’s nice to bounce ideas off of the Shellsea team for how to style all the pieces! I also love being able to shop in a boutique that has an unparalleled sense of community - you can be brushing shoulders with another shopper you’ve never met before one minute, and the next minute you’re giving each other compliments on the outfits you’re trying on and laughing together about almost anything! In a world that’s become so fast paced, competitive and anti-social, even in the fashion/shopping industry, I love being a part of a local fashion community that this new comer boutique is building! Unfortunately I had a negative experience at this store while I was shopping. The clothes were cute/trendy for Volusia County options, but it was unfortunate that I was 36 weeks pregnant and suddenly in dire need of a restroom. The shop owner told me I could walk down the street (in the heat) to the nearest restroom. I asked if I could please use the one she uses because I was very pregnant and suddenly not feeling great, but she answered “she couldn’t risk it”. Understanding why she wouldn’t want HER restroom open to the public, given my state and denying such a thing proved her to be unempathetic, self-centered, and to lack an inviting and hospitable attitude as a shop owner. (I’m assuming she was the shop owner because after looking at her website, I noticed she was all over it.)She lost two repeat...

I went in to return two pairs of leggings that I had bought in early December. I had my receipt. I know I was 10 days past the return period. The leggings had the tag on them and were obviously in the same condition they were in when I bought them. The same leggings were still in stock and on a shelf . I was offered the opportunity to shop around and exchange them. I explained that my husband was waiting for me and we do not live in town. Didn't matter, that was the only option because.. "we don't really give store credits." I could understand if this was a holiday item I was trying to return but it wasn't.
