Just Hearts is located in the historic building that is also the Colony Hotel and Cabana on Atlantic Avenue. The hotel was built in the Spanish Colonial Revival-style of architecture and it opened in 1926 as the Alterep Hotel during Florida's wealthy land boom years. It's distinctive yellow color and history makes it one of the most recognizable buildings in Delray Beach. The are several little shops in this area of the building including a stationary store and a women's wear boutique, Beach Paradise.
Just Hearts has been been in business for 34 years. It was started by former teacher Sarah Epstein who collected hearts. From her passion evolved this darling gift store where almost all of their items have hearts. Just Hearts sells art, glass, housewares, gemstones, jewelry, stuffed animals, and clothing, There are a lot of unique things you won't see anywhere else. They are also a retailer of Brighton accessories. you can have your purchase beautifully gift wrapped.
I loved the colorful glass hearts, elegant necklaces, one of a kind handbags, and fun wineglasses. There were many items for pet lovers, home chefs, and fashonista's. The prices seemed very reasonable and there are affordable items for everyone's budget. This is the kind of gift store where you can find a present for that hard to please person while picking up something that you are going to love...
Read moreIâve been a retail manager my entire careerâover 45 years in everything from major multi-million-dollar companies to small mom-and-pop stores, with experience in Loss Prevention, Human Resources, and Customer Service.
On Wednesday, August 13th, around 3:30 PM, I encountered the most unprofessional clerk I have ever dealt with. Their behavior showed absolutely zero customer service skills.
In all my years of traveling, Iâve shopped in hundreds of gift shops and spent thousands of dollars. Never have I been followed around like a suspected thief or spoken to in such a condescending manner. I had even made a special trip with my daughter to visit this store after finding it closed the day beforeâwhat a waste.
Your overpriced Brighton knock-offs and dated 1970s heart dĂ©cor were never in danger of âsneaking into my pocket,â maâam. And if you happen to be the owner or artist, Iâd strongly recommend rethinking your career pathâyouâre not excelling at any of it.
Horrible customer service, overpriced merchandise, and an unpleasant atmosphere. Save yourself the trouble and enjoy literally any other shop...

Needless to say... i tried to apologize and explain i was simply trying to find my sisters favorite colors. The more i thought about her response my girl friends and i decided to set our items down (we were going to purchase) and move...
