I have been coming to Akente express for well over 15 years when it was still under the original owner the 1st Ron and he was amazing and had wonderful customer service yesterday on 9/13 I drove all the way down to Akente Express to stock up on some things I pulled up at and 4:32pm and the gate was locked and the close sign was up on the door the hours on your door, google and your Facebook page say for Tue-Sat 11-7pm now I understand things happen and its a small business but this has happened multiple other times as well and it’s a inconvenience so today since I will be in Denver I thought let me call before I go down there and be inconvenienced again…..When I called today a man answered the phone and said “YEAH” not HELLO NOT THANKS FOR CALLING AKENTE HOW CAN I HELP YOU just YEAH 😑 that is so rude and unprofessional so I said “ Hi is this Akente Express” he gives me a dry YEAH again as if to say like well duh its akente express so I asked me what time do you all close today he states “6:30/7 ISH” no its not 6:30 or 7ish when you have all your information posted as 7pm on all social media platforms I should be able to pull hp at 6:45 if need be and that door still be open so I said “Okay thank you” he replies “YEAH” again smh no YOUR WELCOME no THANKS FOR CALLING or anything and just hangs up IF I knew another place in the metro area to get the same items I need I would definitely go elsewhere I should have asked for the mans name but I was so taken back it threw me off but I don’t believe it was the new owner Ron but regardless this is a business and he hired them to represent his business you all need to definitely do better because word of mouth...
Read moreI have been a long-time client while growing up in Denver. I moved to the Carolinas where I continued to order products to be shipped. Once the change of "management" occurred, so did the superior level of customer service. I placed an order on August 25, 2024. I called Sept. 1st to see if I'd be able to find out shipping information. I was told that they couldn't see my order because they didn't have access to a particular platform. This was weird because he (Agunde-spelling may be wrong), could see that I did pay for product and the specific amount. He kept blaming it all on Ron (the previous owner), but assured me that he had what I needed in stock, would get everything shipped out no later than Wednesday, Sept. 4th, and would call me back to confirm that it had been shipped. As of today, 9/6/24, I hadn't received a call so I contacted Akente Express and was informed that I would need to pick it up. I assured him that this wouldn't be a possibility. He said that he'd have to first see if he had what I needed in stock and I'd have to wait about another week to hopefully receive it (days before confirming that he had everything in stock). I requested a "rush shipment" but was told it would cost him $40 and he didn't want to pay it. He said he had to get off the phone because he had customers to help!!! Read moreWe won't use this business again. We placed an order on April 13th, the money was paid but there was no product produced as of today April 29th. We have reached out several times with no response and no refund. Highly disappointed.
Update: two weeks ago we received a call asking for us to verify our address because apparently the package had been sent out a couple of times and returned with the wrong address. On the confirmation the address was correct, so this made no sense to us. Still no product produced after that call. We then received a message over the weekend 06.01.24 that we will receive a refund of .87 cents for this order. The order placed cost a total of $24.87. This deters us from supporting this black business. We placed an order with another seller and received the products as stated. Again, such a disappointment from Akente. I feel foolish due to spreading the word to others to order from this shop. I have definitely reached out and told those to not place...
