Overall, I had a terrible experience. The restaurant is very dirty. The bathroom was flooded with water. The food was largely disgusting. The service was terrible. I ended up leaving halfway through the meal and did not leave a tip. I know servers out there are wincing. But yes, it was that bad.

I love Mexican food, have eaten it all over the country, and cook Mexican dishes at home. La Fiesta is near the bottom of my list. To be fair, the green sauce was interesting. The chile relleno was tasty and the beans were ok. The margarita was passable, but nothing to rave about.

However, the green sauce will be too hot for most people (I love heat BTW). The salsa was hot, but had a weird taste, like they used Italian seasoning. The dish was overcooked and swimming in what appeared to be cheese plus green sauce. The tortillas were probably microwaved, tough, and inedible. I ate several bites, but couldn't eat anymore. My girlfriend's dish tasted like the meat had freezer burn. She refused to eat more than a few bites.

The decor is outdated and dirty. Don't look at the ceiling. In fact, don't look at anything too hard. You won't want to eat. Bring plastic boots if you want to use the water soaked bathroom.

Our waitress was horrible. Other staff ended up helping us with the meal.

I think the owner's took my (cash) payment. They did ask me how the food was. I said it was "ok." They didn't follow up and I left as quickly as I could.

These people are walking through the motions. They have no passion for good food. The decor is embarrassing.

Don't...

We came as a large party for a going away party and they were nice enough to accommodate that large party. Unfortunately it was up by the secondary bar next to all of their stacked chair and patio furniture. It is what it as we were a large group and I just appreciate them making it work. The problems then continue.

Had a teenage waiter at first who took my drink order and didn’t write anything down. Okay hotshot I respect that but if you are going to do that you should know the menu and remember the order. I asked for a mezcal neat and the server said “sure”. 10 minutes later he comes back and says they don’t have mezcal. At a Mexican restaurant. Okay. I then ordered a house tequila neat and was brought a house margarita. Wild ride honestly but after the 4th time I got my shot of tequila.

Now I didn’t order food so I’m just going off what my friends said but when half of them don’t finish the food and the servers say “don’t touch the plate it’s very hot” you know you are in for a microwaved Mexican meal. We tried to check out for about 45 minutes and I was really cutting our main server (she had a tattoo on her eyebrow and was incredible. Like seriously if you are reading this girl you were great and should go work somewhere better) some slack but after a while we just went to the bar to pay. Wouldn’t...

My husband and I went to La Fiesta early on a Friday afternoon to try their Happy Hour and food. We were greeted and sat at a booth. The waitress came by, dropped off chips and salsa, and asked us what we wanted to drink. I asked "How much are the Happy Hour margaritas?" to which she replied "Two for one". We ordered two margaritas, and each had one chicharrone and bean burrito, smothered with lettuce and tomatoes. The margaritas were very small and weak, arriving in a small wine glass. The food came quickly and was good. There was only a small amount of lettuce and tomatoes on the burrito even though the extra charge for this was $1.99 each. When the bill came, we noticed that we had been charged $2.99 for chips and salsa. When we asked our waiter, he said "We charge for our chips". We were then told that no credit cards were accepted, only cash. We also noticed that we had been overcharged $1.00 for each burrito. When we told the cashier she said "We appreciate our customers who have the strength of character to bring mistakes to our attention" and took off the $2 overcharge. So what happens to the customers who do not scrutinize their bill or do not have the strength of character to ask for it to be corrected? Do they just get ripped off? How unfortunate. We...

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday; one of four tables at that time. Service: Staff were all prompt and server was very friendly, attentive and courteous. Food:Had chili rellenos (crispy)… smothered green. Chili was awesome, but the rellenos were terrible (filled with some kind of salty processed cheese like Cheese Whiz?). I will return to try a different dish next time, though. Atmosphere: Pleasant, clean —but you might want to ask for a table away from the speakers, because the music was annoyingly loud where I was seated. Parking and access: Ample parking. Difficult access to enter restaurant for anyone who uses a wheelchair, walker or cane.

Heard they won some awards for their green & red chilis and their rellenos and it definitely lived up to it. The service was very quick and friendly. I really enjoyed everything I ate and don’t really have any complaints other than that I wish they were open for dinner more nights than just Friday and Saturday a week. Can’t wait to bring my friends back here. I’m honestly surprised I hadn’t heard of this restaurant until this year despite them having been open since the 60s since I grew up here. I ordered the Esteban combo (relleno and soft taco) with green chili, and a house marg. Some of the best green chili i think I’ve had in CO.

The only reason I’m giving a star is because the servers were kind and helpful. They don’t deserve the heat. I double checked my order and noticed they forgot my refried beans. The FOH staff were kind and immediately got it for me. I gave this place a chance twice and I’ll never be back. I knew that Mexican food would be hard to come by in Colorado but my goodness this is unacceptable. I hope the owners see this and seriously reconsider what they’re doing in the kitchen.
