Asterisk — Local services in Denver

We recently hosted my daughter's wedding reception at Asterisk Denver. We had a fantastic experience with all that the venue had to offer! With a guest count of over 240 people, we were able to use the rooftop deck for cocktails and the main hall for dinner and dancing. We had plenty of room for lots of long tables, a cool round bar in the middle and a big dance floor. The newlyweds even had a super fun exit through the garage door at the front of the space. Amy Lugowski was a wealth of information and helped us plan the perfect event. The space was very customizable with excellent lighting and accessibility. We were initially concerned about the safety of the neighboring area and parking but we were pleasantly surprised when everything went smoothly with no problems. NYE Black Tie event had the loudest and worst band I've ever heard. The concrete floor, walls, and ceilings only made the sound worse. Each member of the band going full tilt the entire time. Just awful. My ears have permanent damage, even after putting toilet paper in our ears within the 1st 30min of the band starting. No one was dancing because it was loud in front of the stage. As someone mentioned last year, they were running out of tequila before midnight, which is surprising given how slow the bars actually make drinks. It was a one of a kind experience having our wedding reception (Melse) at Asterisk. It's truly a hidden gem that we stumbled 2 days before our event, due to a hiccup with another venue that we booked. It all worked out great at Asterisk. The space accommodated our 350 guests in comfort and style. The clean modern space allowed us to decorate perfectly for our Ethiopian Melse. The personable staff, immaculate service, perfect lighting and cleanliness of the venue were an added PLUS.
