Kerry's review below is not accurate. Yes, the hot water went down for a few days but the management did reduce the next months rent. The management also kept everyone informed of the progress of the repair via email (if you've signed up for the list).
Been living here over 3 years and that was for sure a rough few days. They have installed a less-powerful backup water heater that should hopefully prevent similar issues in the future.
Overall, this is a great place to live. Great location. Great views. Mostly younger crowd, if you're into that. Horizontally, we never hear neighboring sound. Have never heard our downstairs neighbor either. You'll likely hear footsteps from above but not voices. At least that's my experience.
Laundry on every floor. Game room, pool, trash shoots, covered parking, and recycling in the basement.
When I first moved in, other tenants informed me of a possible ghost living in the building! Put two and two together and later concluded the only ghost was the irresponsible weekday manager that never showed up for work. The only responsible people at the time were Sylvia, who worked weekends, and the great maintenance team. As of 2015(?) there has been a new weekday manager that is exceptional and available.
When my girlfriend and I travel out of time for extended amounts of time, Sylvia puts our mail in our apartment so our mailbox doesn't clog. I mean, seriously, I can't imagine any other 100+ unit apartment building doing that but I could be wrong.
Rent prices have gone up considerably over the last few years but that's in alignment with the rest of Denver.
My only complaint, which the management has no control over, is that our upstairs neighbors confuses my balcony for an ash tray. Also, if you live on the West side of the building, it seems that the wind blows cigarette smoke into your apartment which is a bummer if you're just looking...

Pros: I love this area! Walking distance to vesper lounge, dons, Trader Joe’s, and even made daily walks to cheaseman park! -There are cleaning folks every single morning on weekdays who are so kind and personable. -Maintenance team was very quick and responsive to any issues I had, including replacing my dishwasher! -Staff (Ivana and Martin) are kind and helpful, and care about you as a person. -The gym served a functional purpose and the sauna/steam room was SO COOL. -The security feels very safe with a lock door and cameras. -Loved the community room, I got to host a NYE party and guests loved the pool table and character of the space. -SPACIOUS apartments for a good price! I love the large balconies. -I’m all for supporting a smaller business than something like “Cornerstone” or another commercial property management company who nickels and dimes you.
Sad to go after 2 nice years, but we wanted to rent a house with a yard...
Read moreThis is the best apartment I have ever lived in. The game room looks like it’s from a mansion, the pool, sauna, and gym are all so nice and convenient to access. Our view (on the west side of the building) was indescribable, a full on panorama of Denver and the Rocky Mountains; you can even see long’s peak on the north corner of the view. The top-notch property management is really what made our experience at The Denver House so enjoyable, Martin and Ivana are always kind and responsive, any concerns we had about maintenance or other issues were addressed immediately every time. I could go on about how much I love the neighborhood, the in-building garage, the trash chute, or the appliances supplied in the apartment, but I’ll just say that I cannot recommend this...
