DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Dothan

Went to Dick"s sporting goods to buy a new reel. Waited in area a long time for clerk to help. Never acknowledged or helped. Finally found reel ,went to front for check-out. One clerk three people waiting to check out. Clerk answered phone several times interrupting checkout. Took at least 15 mins to get checked out. Then when I paid for my item clerk told me she didn't have tool to remove security tag. Called someone to come up and help, but no one ever came. She continued to check out another customer in the middle of answering phone. Three obnoxious loud TV's blairing the View above the cashier. Finally clerk found a cutter and removed the security tag. I left without venting my disdain for the management in that store; but rest assured I will never go there again. worst place in Dothan to shop. I'll go to Academy next time or order online. This store was recommended to me by a friend to purchase some running shoes. I found a really nice pair at a great price. I stood around and look around to see if I seen anything else I could buy because there wasn't a floor person present at the time. After awhile I walked to the front area to ask for a floor person to help me in the shoe department. The young lady at cash register said ok she would get someone there. I walked back to shoe department. I was back there 30 minutes and still no help. We went here specifically to look for a specific type of shirt. We not only found the shirt after months of looking, but Dick's was the first sporting goods store we had been in that didn't smell horrible, play their music too loud, or have extremely bright lights. My autistic family felt comfortable, and that was a plus. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that there was a sign on the fitting room telling us to ring a bell to be let in.
