After nearly a year of living here, I feel compelled to not only leave a review, but to address a few of these other reviews. After living all over, this is easily one of the best places I have ever lived, with one of the easiest management teams I've ever worked with. From start to finish, I've had a smooth transition - and I moved cross-country. I did all initial meeting, walkthroughs, leasing and other contact virtually and over the phone. Dealing with Kortney and her team was nothing short of a dream - even through construction pushbacks and other mishaps. We were always informed quickly and they have always gone above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Speaking of construction, it is very apparent in sight (they are completing the third building now), and well communicated the apartments are an active construction zone, so numerous concessions are given when you sign your lease. Whether you take the discount on your rent or other deal you agree to, you are likely drawn to this property online due to one of these incredible concessions they offer when you visit their site or speak to them. There are obviously inherent risks when moving into a construction zone and certain things are to be expected, but some of the things in these reviews are just not true. We have never experienced thin walls, rude staff, slow internet, or any of the crazier stories I've seen in these reviews. The only time I've heard my neighbors is when they've been fighting profusely. There are quite a few reviews here I find interesting knowing a few of the other names and photos of the people commenting. Some bring valid concerns, sure, but others are disgruntled ex-employees - leaving negative reviews on a complex they did not live in. One in particular worked as cleaning staff in our building and left it in the "poor condition" in which she claims it was so poorly managed, before additional staff was hired. It's comical how disgruntled people will utilize Google as a tool to weaponize against innocent staff instead of adequately communicating with people who would help them.
My only gripe is that people don't pick up after their dogs and I wish management would keep up with the dog waste portal we had to use when we signed our lease. For those of us that do pick up after our animals, it would be nice to keep the...
Read moreI generally avoid writing negative reviews, but I feel compelled to address how Hailey and Kortney, the property managers, have handled a situation I've been trying to resolve amicably. Their conduct has not only been unprofessional, but also illegal.
Property managers are held to high standards of professionalism. They arenât the ones paying the substantial rent; their responsibility is to resolve issues swiftly, amicably, and most importantly, within the bounds of the law. When they make illegal decisions, whether due to ignorance or disregard for the law, and refuse to correct their mistakes in good faith, it reflects not only a lack of professionalism but a blatant violation of legal and ethical standards.
To name just a couple of absurd issues with them out of the ongoing ones: my 65-inch TV was either stolen by a staff member or my apartment was broken into. When I brought this to the attention of both Hailey and Kortney, they completely ignored the seriousness of the matter and refused to assist me. Their indifference to such a blatant breach of security is alarming.
Additionally, Iâve repeatedly messaged and asked Kortney for the email address and contact name of the complexâs attorney, but she continues to ignore my request. Instead, she provides me with a phone number for a law firm without any other contact information, despite my clear explanation that I communicate exclusively via email to keep a record of all correspondence. When I questioned why she canât offer something as simple and standard as an email address and contact name, she completely disregarded the inquiry.
Iâm not making general accusations against the complex, but Hailey and especially Kortney have been notably unprofessional in handling the matters they've created, which should have been resolved amicably.
Now, I have no choice but to pursue legal action.
With experienced, competent management, this complex could thrive. Until then, proceed...
Read moreIâm disappointed to have waited so long here. In the five months my husband and I have been living here, we have had several issues. From the moment we moved in, during the summer, we suffered from extreme heat in our bedroom. Even with the air conditioning on, it didnât work properly in our room, which is the hottest spot in the house. After all of that, our car was scratched in several places out of spite, likely by another resident. We sent emails, but as usual, nothing was resolved.
Then winter arrived, and the heater in our living room doesnât work properly. If that werenât enough, I canât turn on the heater during the high winter because our guest room stays freezing while our bedroom is extremely hot, even in winter. All the doors in our apartment barely close, which I believe is due to cheap construction. Our main front door wouldnât close properly for days because of the quick, cheap build.
For the past four months, we have also been dealing with extreme humidity and mold in our apartment. Despite reporting this issue multiple times, theyâve done nothing to resolve it and keep making excuses and misleading us about the situation.
We live in Block A, and it amazes me how they manage to charge us monthly for everything, yet Iâm no longer willing to pay rent here since I donât have comfort for myself or my family.
On top of that, weâve experienced harassment from the reception staff regarding my support animal. They complained when I had the animal with me in the gym some time ago. Honestly, I am exhausted from living in a place where nothing gets resolved, even though we pay our rent on time every month. Starting today, I will be seeking my rights in the Draper court and will handle this matter in a way that best suits me, as they lack the basic decency to respond or resolve anything. Iâm fed up...
