I have never been to, or heard of, Dillard's. I found so many great deals on dress shirts. I'm a big guy. 3x sizing. It's hard to find clothes that look good because most companies believe that big guys deserve frumpy shirts/ tshirts/ polos. Not the case here. They had selection and colors. It was amazing! As amazing as that all was... the way I felt while shopping... not so good. It really was very off putting. Enough to warrant a low review. While separately, the woman working in the shoe department and the woman working in the big men's department were helpful, nice, engaging, etc... when it came to actually checking out I felt like I was in the middle of a heated battle that did NOT make me feel comfortable at all. The shoe clerk offered to take the shirts I had picked up out of my hands so I could shop the shoes. It wasn't until after that did I feel my shirts were essentially being held hostage until I was ready to check out. The woman in the big men's area who then helped me find even better deals and correct sizing tried to get me to check out with her. I told her I still was looking and that I had shirts over in shoes being held. It seemed I struck a nerve. She told me that "she always does that". She was upset that her sale from department was snatched away from her. I nearly made 2 purchases just so I didn't have to either get my shirts from shoes to take to big men's or take my shirts from big men's to shoes. It seemed like a big deal to both of them. The lady in big men's ended up asking if I wanted to tale the shirts to shoes to be rang up. I agreed to this. She then gave me a business card with ALL her information including her cell to text her if I needed help. This is definitely something I'm not used to and really felt uncomfortable but she was an amazing help and I really would go back to her if I lived in the area! Just wouldn't call or text her... I kind of expressed my overall confusion to the shoe clerk and she told me not to worry about it. I told the shoe clerk that the big men's clerk said to take 1/2 off the clearance prices, which wasn't signed that way, but she said she'd take care of it. The receipt didn't seem to match up with that. But I paid and left. I honestly couldn't get out of there quick enough. I can't explain just how awkward I felt! At the same time I spent $170+ on new dress shirts for work that look great....
Read moreMy visit today at Dillard’s was, like always, a very consistent A++++++ The store was very clean and great smelling! It was not, at all, very congested with customers due to it was in the later part of the evening close to closing time of the day also on a Sunday which was why, I assume. I visited Perimeter Mall today in order to buy my long time used Abercrombie and Fitch Cologne called Fierce at a BIG 30% off sale!! To enter the Mall to get to the store Abercrombie and Fitch for my cologne purchase, I came into the mall through the Dillard’s store’s outer entrance. It was very quick and easy to find a close to the door parking space, I entered Dillard’s, walked through to Abercrombie and Fitch, bought my cologne and while using Dillard’s to exit the Mall, I saw some great looking suede coats that I tried on and loved!! The staff was very polite in assisting me find the correct size for me, but I waited to purchase the coat due to someone in my family may be buying it for me for a Christmas gift!! I then could not help but notice their fragrance department and all of their products in their inventory for sale!! I have bought and wore Monte Blanc Cologne before and it is a VERY CLOSE in great smelling but not over bearing cologne to the Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce cologne that I’ve been wearing for years now. However, I already made my Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce cologne purchase. So, maybe next time I will begin in Dillard’s sample smelling all of their selections!! Overall, Dillard’s does get another A++++++ rating from me!! I will be returning there again before the...
Read moreMy biggest problem with Dillard's is their exchange and price adjustment policy. I was told when right before I purchased the shoes (by sales associate) that they definitely did price adjustments. I was actually buying the shoe at that time because of my size (9 which sell out quick) would probably be gone when the Big Boot sell came around. So therefore I made this $151.19 purchase. So when I went back to the Big Boot sale I was told that on the back of the receipt it states no price adjustments. So I was like fine. So I returned home with shoe. Now ( 2 months later I have a reason ro wear the shoes and they didn't go well with several of the clothing items I planned to wear. So I decided to do a return since shoes haven't been worn and I have original receipt , box and bag. So I called store and they said maybe the system would allow a return and maybe it wouldn't. But no refund after 30 days. So I asked about an exchange and the answer was no as well because I got them Dec 10th and it's Feb 19th. My thing is if I'm just doing a store exchange what's the big deal? The store still profited from my purchase. And shoe can still be sold. Other than this issue I actually think it's a nice store. The Women's department could use a major update within the clothing items. But just be sure to buy items that you're really sure about and be careful with returns and exchanges. And this would have been my first return/exchange ever in...
