Scrimshaws Interior Design — Local services in Durango

I live in Wisconsin and heard about Scrimshaws from family members. I contacted Linda (who is extremely nice and very knowledgeable) when I decided to update my living room.

This is where it got hard for Linda. I didn't have any idea of what I wanted for furniture but lots of requests. I wanted durable furniture that could withstand 11 grandkids, a dog and a cat. The furniture must be comfortable, stylish and have strong material. I also wanted an updated pattern --cozy yet different.

Via email Linda had me send pictures of my living room, dimensions of the room and drapes which I didn't plan on changing. In return Linda sent me sample materials for the furniture that she thought would be perfect.

Distance was never an issue. The selection and communications were great. We would email, send pictures and call each other.

The day I received my furniture (Linda arranged all the shipping details), I was ecstatic. I LOVE my new furniture. When I'm ready to redo any room in my home, I will contact Linda for her assistance and expertise. We contacted Linda after reading her reviews on Google. She was extremely easy to work with while designing our cabin. She did an excellent job on the lighting plan, and her input regarding the design was invaluable. Linda was always available for questions/concerns, and worked around our schedule. She directed us to some local amazingly talented artisans, one of which built most of our furniture. The gentleman she recommended for paint/stain was extremely good at helping us to choose the stain color for the logs. Linda, the owner, is easy to work with. Never pushy, listens well, asks questions which help her to help me find what I'm looking for. Once I jump on a fabric option, she takes that info and directs me to other suitable options. Linda is as responsive with post-sales questions as she is with pre-sales.
