The pizza is the best pizza that I have ever had. So good that I am still giving it four stars despite the service and wait on a recent visit.
We called ahead with a party of 9 (including four young children) to ask if there was room in the restaurant for us. The answer was, âyes, come on in! Weâve got plenty of room for you.â When we got there were ordered two pizzas, two slices (plain cheese for one of the kids), and two orders of garlic knots.
The garlic knots and two slices came out within 5 minutes. They were incredible. We sat and talked while waiting for the two pizzas to arrive for the rest of the group. 50 additional minutes went by and we finally asked about how long it would be for the pizzas. We were told at least 30 more minutes.
The kids and several adults took them for a walk and we ordered another single slice to eat while we were waiting. That slice was placed in the oven and forgotten about. 15 minutes later I asked about the slice (to the annoyance of the server) and it was found burned to a crisp and smoking in the oven. They quickly heated up a new slice and brought it to the table.
Finally after the 30 additional minutes were up and our pizzas were still not in the oven, a member of our party asked if we could have a full pizza from the slices area that was the same as the one we had ordered. There was a whole nother pizza of the same kind, so it wouldnât leave them without any to sell. Everyone was just starving at this point, especially the kids. She said they didnât do that, but then grabbed a box and gave us the pizza. No plates, just set the pizza on the table and left. We gobbled it up immediately and it was divine. Our second pizza came out about 15-20 minutes later and was also delicious. I asked for plates for that pizza and was had just 2 plates for the large party.
The entire time we waited, many patrons came in to pick up take out orders. My suggestion to the restaurant is to give dine-in patrons an estimated time when they order, similar to when an order is called in. Had we known it would be 2 hours, we would have chosen to come back another night or call in our order. Additionally, perhaps a priority order might be added to alternate between dine in and take out orders, so the wait is not so high for those who eat in the restaurant. This could be incorporated into the times given to take out customers and all would be aware and satisfied.
We will definitely eat at home slice again, but will choose to do so for take out and...

Restaurants, like many things, are teams. While a team must have a leader and will always have a weak link, sometimes that weak link can be weak enough that the entire goal falls apart.
On September 3 2017 at 4 o clock local time at home slice that weakest link was the bartender. 0 greeting as we walked in as they were helping a customer, understandable if it wasn't followed by another nonexistent greeting.
My wife and I proceeded to the helpful individual at the register to order our reasonably priced designer pizza and informed the cashier that we would be at the bar. We were to be at the bar in hopes of ordering beer.
Once we got situated at the bar it was an extremely long amount of time before my wife pointed out that the bartender had not offered us drinks despite her ID being prominently displayed on the bar. Initially I shrugged it off as a missed connection, but eventually this gave way to intently watching him help other customers, talk to his fellow employees, restock the bar, do some dishes, eat some food, doing basically anything a bartender could do in a bar, other than helping the two individuals in front of him.
Where this reaches the low point is where I have to go back to the register, order two fountain drinks, and then proceed to drink bag soda instead of the beer that is 2 feet from my wife and I because the person responsible for distributing said beer has better things to do than their job.
The pizza was great, a creative well executed pie that tasted as good as it looks, this is a 4 out of 5 pizza next to a 0 out of 5 experience.
Now isn't this all a little extreme, isn't this story out of the ordinary? It may be, but this is the one and only experience I will ever have at this restaurant, and it is a 1 out of 5 stars.
I hope all other patrons have a better...
Read moreHad to update my years old review. It's still Great pizza, I have eaten here for years. Unfortunately they aren't properly disclosing that their orders for delivery will be done through door dash. I don't use door dash on purpose. Not once in the order for delivery did they let me know id be using doordash. I thought it was a ridiculous delivery fee, and since the fees don't go to the drivers I normally never do delivery, I do takeout. This is information that legally is supposed to be posted and disclosed with a decent bit of clarity and transparency, and it's not. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the menu (which is far past the pizzas and sides and drinks , it's a long menu) down at the very bottom there's a small notice saying powered by door dash. It's not transparent enough by the standards that have been established. Won't make that very expensive mistake again! Over $30 for one pizza is absolutely outrageous and unnecessary, I don't care where they are located or what kind of bougie following a pizza place has....
