I’ve been coming to this Co-op for 10 years and from what I understand Co-op you know means cooperation and their member owned
I just found out that I’m not allowed to purchase food there anymore due to one of the employees calling the cops on me when I went there to get orange juice and ask for a job
After reading a couple of reviews, I realize there’s probably one person in there who decided my life wasn’t worth it and decided it’s worth embarrassing me in front of my community instead of reaching out to me as a regular As the one place in town who takes the double up food buck program, I find this quite absurd and something that will make my life a lot harder and it’s already hard enough right now
Co-op’s have always been the place where like-minded people can go get nutritious food, support the local farmers and find a little relief from how difficult the world can be at times.
As somebody who just survived a near death experience, I find this attitude of people not being able to do have any compassion and patience with each other anymore. Very disturbing.
And now that it’s infected the Co-op I don’t think this town is going to be able to properly adjust do to the changes that are being asked of us by the world .
We need real change in the world. We need to be able to get along with people who are different than us. We need to get along with how the environment is different than our parents environment, we need to learn how to stand up for each other, not swat each other
As Somebody with a disability and healing from a true handicap when did we stop helping each other? When did we decide that we could be the judges and use taxpayer money to harass people who are different?
Living in this community as a white person who can speak multiple languages, including some Navajo, I find that we need to do a whole lot better and get to know our neighbors, most do not know the word yatahai
But when you called the cops on me at the Co-op, you broke a trust and I will speak out because that is not justice, that is harassment.
As a LGBTQ person, I get enough harassment from my own family I don’t need it from somebody who thinks less of me due to the way I dress or to my handicap that causes disabling pain
You can do better than this Co-op you’re making me not to be able to breathe.
When you read this understand, I’ll be speaking to people. I meet every day in this community about the way you treated me. I enjoy seeing my friends there and I’m very disappointed because when you call the cops that can be considered an act of violence because you’re not qualified in law and I understood when I spoke with them they would’ve been ready to hurt me if I couldn’t...

Read moreI went there twice and spent plenty of money in their store. Items were highly overpriced.
Employees that I met were nice.
On my 2nd visit, I ate breakfast that I purchased there and hung out for a bit in my vehicle, after a little while some dude (the owner/manager I assume) bangs on my door and started getting petty about how long I was parked.
Honestly he was kind of a dick and accused me of loitering. Last I checked loitering constitutes being in a public space with no purpose. My purpose was to purchase breakfast, consume it, and allow my body to digest.
I get the fact that their lot may have limited parking spaces, but there is an abundance of city parking adjacent to their facility. I do not believe their business was impacted by my presence. It's clear this man has a chip on his shoulder and was looking to assert control over something to validate his position. This situation could've been handled with kindness instead of passive aggressiveness.
I won't be shopping...
