Update: We enjoyed our first visit, last week, so we brought my daughter and her boyfriend here this morning. We were met by, I believe, the owner, who immediately sat us, though it was 10:30 on a Saturday morning, at a nice corner table. I do have a complaint for this visit and that was the blonde, female that served us. While she took the drink order for my wife and I (before our daughter and her boyfriend arrived) fairly quickly, she seemed to have forgotten us. We had to wait nearly 10 minutes until my daughter arrived, and then she brought my coffee, my wife's OJ, and waters for the four of us. She took their drink orders--OJ and coffee--and then again seemed to forget us. Another server, a brunnette young woman, came to refill my coffee, and I had tell her that the other OJ and coffee had not been delivered. She promptly got those for us. It took a while, but our server came and took our order. I ordered the Sam's Breakfast Bowl without sour cream, my wife and daughter ordered the Frankie's standard breakfast, and my daughter's boyfriend ordered the french toast. When the orders arrived, mine had sour cream on it, and the boyfriend's order was wrong. Fortunately, the owner saved the day, giving the boyfriend the wrong order of french toast PLUS his correct order at no extra charge, and he took my dish back and removed the sour cream. Between the owner and the other server, they saved the experience for me, and so I still give it a 5 star. However, I would hope that our server get some more training, or improve if she has experience, because otherwise there will be customer complaints.
My wife and I just dined here for the first time. We knew that The Stuffed Olive had closed and that this restaurant had recently opened in the same location.
We came on a Saturday morning about 10:45. There was a young female hostess outside and she showed us to a table right away. The indoor decor is bright and cheerful, and I think that maybe the tables and chairs are the same that the previous tenants used.
Kyla was our server, and she did a great job. She was friendly and provided excellent service, checking on us a few times and quickly responding when we wanted something.
My wife ordered the French Dip sandwich and I had the Sam's Breakfast Bowl. For my wife, the bread and meat were very good, as were the curly fries, warm and crispy. Her only complaint was that she felt that the dipping juice seemed diluted and lacked some flavor. For my part, I enjoyed the breakfast bowl. Potatoes, beans, eggs, cheese, and avocado (there is sour cream, which I declined) with enchilada sauce pour over it. Very good, and very filling. In addition, they have fresh squeezed OJ, which my wife loves!
All in all, we really enjoyed our first experience at The Potholder Cafe and most definitely...
Read moreWife and I checked out this breakfast menu this morning. Wife ordered Eggs Benedict, it came with cheese, which we didn’t realize, but worked pretty well. The hollandaise was on point 😋🤤thick, rich, creamy, and held together, sticks to your ribs. I ordered Tim's Dug Out which was a good mix and starter to get an idea for this place, comes with 3 small plates on one - steak, eggs, potatoes, & bacon side; potatoes, avocado, sour cream, & mushrooms side; and stuffed French toast, pictured with strawberries and cream. I thought all the food was delicious and I probably ate more than I should have, maybe I’ll skip lunch now, lol. I really liked the amount of condiments on the table, selection of jams, and regular syrup or boysenberry syrup included. This may be our new breakfast go to in eagle when we have friends and family in town! I highly suggest...
Read moreSome one on a previous of reviewing places for chili burgers recommended this place. We got there and were greeted promptly by a lady there. All the staff were very friendly to us. I ordered the chili burger open faced with just cheese and chili on it. It came with no cheese and the waitress promptly got me some grated cheese. The burger looked pretty good except it had way too much beans which most places that make their own chili make it with no beans. The presentation was very good. The first bit the chili had no taste of chili at all. None of the necessary spices to promote chili. I at most of it because I was hungry but will not come back here. Their menu looks pretty good. This was the 7th place to try and it comes in a 4th out of 7 chili burgers experience in looking for the best...
