Arrogant and Rude! We provide free photos for families at the Kittitas Co Fair as a souvenir and needed a 5"x 28" piece of vinyl- black and white, no graphics, no application, just text on vinyl that said "KITTITAS CO FAIR".
THATS IT!
Matt the owner proceeded to tell me what I really needed and how that wouldn't work. I insisted I only needed the vinyl, I would install the vinyl myself- just print it out. It's literally disposable in 5 days.
I was quoted for a 20% rush charge and $15 for the sign and $15 for "design services". Fine $36 to have a 5"x28" sign overnight. I'm not unreasonable, I can even understand having to wait until the next day.
We waited until noon the next day and went to the Copy Shop where the owner told me they haven't even started the sign. Now we're 2 days into a 5 day fair.
Matt brushed me off and said they didn't promise to be finished in the morning. I told him I was assured it would be done by morning. I explained we provide free photos for families at the fair and now its day 2 of the fair. He said fine- we're not doing you're job.
AVOID AVOID doing business with this guy. If you're on a deadline- he is unreliable.
His customer service skills are non-existent and if he weren't the only game in town he'd be out of business.
I get you might be busy, I get you have orders ahead of mine. Don't charge me a rush charge if you're not going to rush it. If you can't do the job- just be honest and tell me.
What a waste of time and energy.
I've had better customer service and results at generic FedEx stores, Staples, and Office Depots than this "professional" print company.
Save yourself a lot of frustration and find someone else even if it means driving or ordering online.
Addendum- By the way Matt, I called the UPS store after leaving and they have both vinyl and banner printers- took my order over the phone and said it would be done in an hour and half. No rush charge either.
Addendum- they called 15 minutes later and said it was done.
Now that's service!
Final Addendum- Hey Matt- the sign cost me $6.50 at the UPS Store versus the $36 plus tax you were going to charge me. They were done in 15 minutes and you couldn't manage to get it printed in 27 hours. ...

Horrible service and business. The owner was rude to my 70+ mother. For mere b&w copies requested, he put them on CARD STOCK and ran unneeded items that were not to be copied, like the instructions page. Only 2 copies were needed, but he did 7 copies and stuck it to her. I would have told him to get lost. If you don't get a quote, this pathetic thief will charge you an unconscionable amount. If he does, walk away and leave the project. Better yet, lchoose another business and let/make this clown go out of business. After that experience she went to the UPS Store. who were awesome.
You can tell this guy is a toxic owner. Nobody is happy. Staff clearly walk on eggshells.
The lady at the UPS store really was helpful and "absolutely wonderful".
Now you...
Read moreI've done several print jobs with the Copy Shop for work, sometimes on very short notice, and have had nothing but great results. Staff has taken time with me to make sure the prints look the way I want, even if it means throwing away several copies (without charging me) to get it tweaked the way I needed. I haven't experienced any of the rudeness mentioned by other reviewers.
UPDATE 9/2020: This place of business has apparently decided they don't need to follow any public health directives or encourage their patrons to be safe. They have the sign posted that has become the dog whistle for "we don't mask here" on their door. None of the 3 employees were wearing masks, although all 5 customers in the store were. No attempts at mitigation that I could see. They also have prices that are quite a bit higher than other copy places outside of Ellensburg. It's unfortunate, because prior to this, I was willing to pay slightly higher prices to stay local and deal with someone familiar, but not after...
