Timber Boutique — Local services in Eureka

EDIT First of all, I used to LOVE this boutique and I was a regular customer for many years. I started going to Timber when I was still in high school and had always had a mutual respect for the owner and the staff- until recently. I walked in with my family (I had shopped there a couple weeks back too) and was met at the door by a staff member claiming I had stolen something and needed to leave. I asked to speak with the owner and see the video they claimed to have and the owner brought three police officers outside the store, ON THE SIDEWALK, repeatedly accused me of lying AND refused to show me the "evidence" she had against me. I offered to sit down and have coffee with her since she was completely unwilling to hear me out but she ignored my message and proceeded to ban me from her store. She humiliated my entire family and lost a respectful and consistent paying customer. I will repeat, neither I nor my family have ever stolen from her and even the officers who viewed the cellphone recording agreed that it was inconclusive. Considering I could have very easily explained whatever she was claiming to have on tape and her refusal to acknowledge this, we believe this was a blatant discrimination of my family and the age different between my partner and I and/or a general discrimination towards our appearance. I'm forced to assume that she used a video of me grabbing MY OWN article of clothing (from the thrift store down the street that I had JUST visited as an excuse to humiliate and ban my family due to...

Can I rave anything more about this freaking store!

First, the staffs are just Ahhhh-mazing! They answered every questions and helped me picked a top that went with my pants. Super stylish and hard to not leave the store without buying at least 3!

Secondly, the store has a homey touch that made me feel welcome and at ease. I spent 3 hours every time when I’m there... geez.. can I live here!?

Third, When I can’t make it in, Timber advertised what they’re carrying and even models them ON INSTA!!! Like, omg... LOVE IT!

Out all of the shops in Arcata and Old Town that I went to yesterday looking for a dress to wear to a special dinner with my partner, Timber had the best selection!! Their sales floor is tastefully stocked with high quality brands in a way that is really elegant and has that perfect balance of not being over stocked but still having enough selection to ensure I found a dress that fit great and I felt beautiful in!
