Beautiful location. Staff were kind but not friendly. Passive aggressive signs posted all over about not using specific furniture.

It was very slow service. I think the manager needs to hire more staff. I received the wrong pastry and she was annoyed that I didn’t want it.

I don’t know. I was on the fence about this one but honestly it’s unacceptable. After waiting 30 min for my latte, I couldn’t drink it. Why are you serving spicY chili pepper lattes and advertising them as “spicED maple”??? That’s not the same thing. A few sips in, mouth and throat are burning, headache and almost threw up. For actual health reasons and decent human business practices, you need to warn people or list the spices. Traveling along the entire California coast with my partner and this is the best coffee we have found anywhere on our travels!

High quality coffee & food, absolutely gorgeous historic building, and super friendly staff! We had ordered a cappuccino and a lavender latte, and WOW from the first sip you can tell they use high quality beans and dairy to create beverages that are delicious works of art. We also ordered one vegetarian chilaquiles to share, and it was so tasty we ordered a second one so that we didn’t have to share :)

Happy to see lots of veggie options, and excited to hear about the second location in Arcata, which we are going to have to check out so we can try more goodies and pick up a shirt so we can rep our new favorite...

Local, fresh, organic, delicious! Come for the coffee, stay for the food! One of the few places in Humboldt to serve up a legit cappuccino. Lovely cold brew really gets you going. Local chai is also perfect. BTW, they use really fabulous milk! I adore the house made granola & yogurt! Winner! All the baked goods are epic, ie salted chocolate chip cookie is chewy and crisp. The seasonal salad is huge, excellent dressing & filling in the best sort of salad-y way. Don’t get me started on the chilaquiles so fabulous maybe our favorite in all of NorCal!
