Italian kitchen So it started out as an invitation to a birthday dinner at an Italian restaurant, So I show up at 6 pm , the place looks more like a old world Italian deli, so the tables are nicely set , there is dipping olive oil with some great bread, the oil has a slight peppery taste, like all great olive oils, so then came the Ceasar salad and a salad with apples and balsamic dressing, both to die for, there was also a tasty Italian cauliflower , carrot salad, Then Dominic come out and says we are going to learn how to make mozzarella, there are all these metal bowls filled with curds , wooden spoons, aprons , and hot water, so Dominic explained the history, chemistry, and how to make a ball of mozzarella with wit and finesse, then we sat down to our table and wines , did I mention it is BYOB , a big money saver, we were served an antipasto dish, which included our mozzarella, then we were served meatballs + pasta, shrimp + pasta, lastly chicken + pasta , these pasta combinations were everything you expect from a fine Italian restaurant, for dessert we received some warm Zeppoli’s, a perfect ending to a great meal ! This place truely brings the Auther Avenue culture to Fairfield, CT. In conclusion, they have two other cooking classes: pizza class and a Sunday sauce class, you can go there just for dinner,...
Read moreIf I could give more stars I would! Working with Dominick was such a pleasure. We had my husbands 40th birthday there last Friday and wow... I am quite annoying when it comes to details and planning, I booked a few months in advance and constantly would be texting him asking questions. He was always prompt at responding and just so kind. I arrived an hour early to set up and Dominick had everything ready and it looked so beautiful. People were stopping by complimenting how nice the tables looked. It was like we were in Italy! Red and white checkered tablecloths with bistro lights in the alley, just perfection!!!
We were served the most delicious 5 course meal.. everything that came out my guests kept complimenting me for, "Andrea, this pasta is soooo good! Andrea, this chicken!!! The cannolis!" I felt really good about it even though it wasn't my cooking haha. From start to finish the party was perfect and I can't wait to celebrate and host more dinner parties at Italian kitchen. We also did a contest for best dressed (Italian themed) and 3 guests got gift cards and they can't wait to go back to use them. Thank you Dominick and the Italian kitchen team for making my husbands...
Read moreOrder form here if you cherish cheap grocery level ingredients, a long wait, and ignored requests. Sandwich was edible. 2 stars.
Ordered a Godson via eat24. Took an hour to deliver from a quarter mile away! Bread was untoasted, cheap grocery bleached-white bread sub. Requested sauce on side, NOT delivered, despite accepting that it would cost me more. Was not charged - simply ignored my request for sauce. The sauce was ordered in case the sandwich was bland, which it was. Cheese was not fresh mozzarella as advertised. Balsamic tastes cheap, overall moderately boring flavor. sandwich kinda small for 9 bucks. See Dibellas for a comparable 9 dollar sub, which comes with everything you can ask for. No pickle, cole slaw or really anything included that generally comes with an expensive sub. For that matter, there didn't even include napkins, silverware, or even a menu. Receipt attributed items to the wrong people. Apparently I ordered a rice ball. Why do they even sell a rice ball? Why is it 5 dollars?! Seriously, an hour? Fairfield has too many nice restaurants for this level of food...
