I came to office max on 4/28/2021. My intention was to order a canvas print. The picture was a very important photo of my husbands best friend, (he lost his battle with PTSD in 2015) and our dog who was scheduled to be euthanized on 4/30/2021 due to a terrible infection caused by skin cancer. When I ordered the print, the employee who helped me wasn’t sure about the the details of the canvas so she did what she could in getting the picture pulled up to edit it slightly. She called someone else from another part of the store and assured me he would be better at the editing aspect. He told me it would be about 20 minutes so I told him I would come back later and he told me that I could pay when I came to pick up the canvas. I ended up not being able to come back that day but I did call and speak with the man who helped me and he said it would be ready in the morning. I showed up early the next day and there was a different lady at the printing desk. She didn’t communicate with me at all. I had to ask her every single question in order to find out any information. I even asked her to speak louder because I couldn’t hear her or understand what she was saying. This was the 2nd time I had worked with her(the first time was on a different visit) and this was the 2nd time she treated me poorly. Then she acted like she had no idea where my print was. After she found it (I had to point it out to her) I saw that it was not complete and that the canvas was not wrapped. I asked her why and she said she didn’t know but that she would get to it later, as if my order didn’t matter. This was incredibly disappointing as I had it in mind that the canvas would be complete and all I would have to do is pay and then go home to spend time with my dog who was about to die. Instead I spent 30 minutes waiting and still had no canvas print. So I paid and told them that I would be back in about 20 minutes and that my canvas needed to be ready. When I got back the canvas was wrapped but the quality was terrible. The front of the picture was scratched and it was wrapped crooked. I tried to clean the scratches off but they were really bad. I asked for a manager…she tried to calm me down but at this point I was in tears. I told her how important this picture was and how this was my 3rd stop back into her store. She told me she would have the picture redone for me at no cost. The man that originally printed the photo was the one who was going to reprint and rewrap my canvas. He took his time but by the time he was done it was another 30 minutes of waiting and this time the canvas was even worse. Even more crooked and scratched. And the manager who was supposed to be de-escalating my issue didn’t help at all. She walked over when he was done and just shook her head as if she knew that this was the best it was going to get and nobody at her store could properly wrap a canvas. I was so upset. I left crying. I will never go back. I will never recommend office max to anybody, even in an emergency. I am so severely disappointed by my visit. Everybody who was working at the store at the time just took a massive disrespectful dump on my husbands best friend who died from suicide and my husbands dead service dog. Waited in line for 20 minutes til this Calvin guy finally decided to see what I needed. Told him I needed cardstock cut into 5x7s. Gave him complete instructions on how I wanted it cut so that the back sticker would be scraps. I had to come back and they would be doe by 6pm that night. Okay that's fine they busy. My mo goes to pick up and the lady behind counter hasn't even cut them yet and it's 630pm. To top it off she didnt follow cutting instructions and now I wasted a stack of 150 cardstock invites because the ignorant lady can't follow directions. Read moreI will NEVER order online from them again. I placed an order on black friday for a laptop as well as a printer totaling over $900. My account was charged. My printer was shipped before the laptop and I was charged again on top of the original charge. A few days later the laptop which was backordered was to be shipped and my account charged an additional $750!!! I called for the next 3 days and everyone told me something different. I have documentation of both charges on my account but now the original charge is gone. This is unacceptable for that amount of $$ to be take from an account twice.
