I would like to start and say that I have never felt compelled to write a review online before until I went to Men's Wearhouse in Fargo, ND. I have been to other Men's Wearhouse's in the regional area and had good experiences, but I will never return to this location.
I walked in the store and was greeted appropriately and stated I was just browsing around, not looking for anything in particular. My girlfriend and I proceeded to look around for about 2 minutes and was confronted by a very pushy, know it all, and "stage 5 clinger" salesmen. Upon his greeting he continued to tell me how to shop and that at this store (Fargo, ND location) they do it differently than locations... He further explained that, they stand by your side every step of the way... (Even after stating I am just browsing around). It was as if he thought I was going to attempt to shop lift. Not to mention, almost every other word that came out of his mouth had very condescending under tones.
After his explanation he continued to tell me to take my jacket off and was putting one jacket on after another. After about 5 jackets I said I would have to think about it and quickly left the store. (When trying on the jackets, I said I really didn’t like some of the Jackets he was having me put on and he seemed annoyed… As if, I do not work at the store so I have no idea what I like apparently…)
I realize that I would maybe only spend a total of 1-2k a year at this store, but you discourage enough consumers as myself and you are starting to potentially lose huge market share. And we all know the best/most effective form of marketing is word of mouth.
Again, this is my opinion, but the experience made me extremely uncomfortable and if you are not a huge shopping fan to begin with, it could be a total nightmare. I will never be returning to this Men's Wearhouse location.
George Zimmer would definitely not approve of this stores charades by...
Read moreMen's Wearhouse of Fargo, ND is extremely unorganized and very hard to work with. Their sales associates (especially the guy who runs the place) are rude and you have to almost tackle them down to get them to pay attention to you.
I went in to get my tux rental sizes verified and they made me wait for 20 minutes while they helped everyone else in the store first. When I complained, they said the store manager normally does the size verification and was not working at the moment. I said I work days and cannot come back during daytime hours when the store manager is working. They proceeded to find my file amongst a sloppy filing system. After 20 minutes of them searching, they finally found and verified my tux rentals.
Shortly after my tux arrived I went to try it on. The girl at the front counter couldn't help me right away. She complained for 10 minutes about how she couldn't find a certain file and how she misplaced her keys. She didn't make eye contact with me and told someone else to help me. After I tried on my tux the jacket was too small so they had to order a size larger. The entire time I felt like I was treated like a number and not a person. They never said congratulations or even made eye contact with me. The attitude of nearly every employee is poor, hurried and frustrated. Very Poor Customer Service :(
Men's Wearhouse is priced considerably higher than their competitors and have very poor customer service. I would not rent from them again and would not recommend their services to anyone.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Men's Wearhouse...
Read moreThis place doesn’t even deserve a star. The lack of communication and organization in this place is a joke. I had called them to let them know my father died unexpectedly before my wedding and that my brother would need to be fitted as he was walking me down the aisle. They told me they would write a note about the situation and have my brother get fitted for my dads tux. My brother got there, had to re explain to them of my dads passing and why he was there to get fitted. 2 other times they asked me if my dad was still apart of my bridal party. Again, I repeated myself, he had passed away. They both said, “oh yeah I see the note.” Then, my groomsmen went to pickup their tuxes AND THEY ORDERED THE WRONG COLORED JACKETS a week before my wedding. The jackets were reordered…I went to pick them up…and THEY STILL ORDERED MY DEAD DADS TUX AND PUT IT IN FRONT OF ME ( as I was picking up the groomsmen’s tuxes) AND ASKED IF MY DAD WAS STILL APART OF MY WEDDING. This is where I lost it. Got home with the tuxes and we were missing one groomsmen tux (which they put in another wedding party) and the other jacket WAS STILL THE WRONG COLOR. So, I had to have someone run to Fargo because this was two days before my wedding to get the tux that was placed in the wrong bridal party and pickup the wrong jacket. I asked to speak to the manager because I was completely fed up with this so called “business” and they told me the manager was “busy” and would call me back. NEVER heard back from them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...
