There are a lot of reviews saying this place is too expensive. I’m here to say think about it this way. When you are here you are not only are you paying for the food you are also paying for the experience. It’s not an everyday type restaurant, there isn’t one on every corner. In my opinion it was definitely a quality experience for the type it is. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. She explained how everything worked and explained the different types of broth. I don’t eat pork so she told me which broths were safe for me. It’s free refills on the broth! Which I appreciated greatly. I chose beef broth. We put our drink and appetizers orders in and our broth was coming out at the same time. Crab Rangoon was the appetizer we chose. I’m not gonna lie to y’all or even try to front we started grabbing plates like kids in the candy store. The plates were coming around on the rotary belt and it all was fresh. A wide variety of noodles, veggies, seafood and meats. They even had tofu, potatoes and eggs. I grabbed the sliced beef, shrimp, cabbage, broccoli and the vermicelli noodles. I wish they had tomatoes and onions I would of grabbed that too. grabbed the sliced beef, cabbage, ramen noodles, pot stickers, wonton’s and the kimchi. Listen we both were extremely happy with both the food and the entire experience. The place was super clean, plates and utensils included. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The beef broth was amazing very flavorful. The things we picked to add to our broth were delicious after taking a bath in the broth. We just may go back tomorrow and try it all over again! Don’t let the bad reviews up here deter you from trying this place out. To me the place wasn’t expensive at all....
Read moreI've been to this place twice, counting this dinner. The set-up is like a Sushi place that uses a belt driven track from which you choose what you want to eat. First you choose your broth that ranges from not spicy to very spicy. The broth is brought in a steel cylinder with about a quart of broth and put it in a heating unit built-in the eating area. The control panel for the pot heater is built in the front edge of the eating area for you to control. The heater is turned on after the cylinder of broth is put in the hole of the table where the heater unit is at. Then you get to watch the serpentine belt parade ingredients for you to choose what to put in the cylinder. The only limit is the size of the cylinder that holds the ingredients and broth. As the broth heats up, you stir the soup to heat/cook the ingredients. When you decide that the soup is hot enough, you ladle it in a bowl and enjoy... You can always add more ingredients to the pot as long as there is broth in the cylinder. It's up to you to mix meats, seafood, greens, mushrooms, tofu, noodles, etc...and cook them in the broth. I usually add 2 sets of ingredients to get different soups...that fills me up. After you are finished eating, the bill is based on the broth and what plate colors that held the ingredients you chose for your soup. I find the concept is fun because you get to choose the ingredients, cook them in the broth, ladle it into your bowl and enjoy...you simply repeat the process as long as there is broth in your cylinder...the sky...
Read moreI always try to try a place more than once before writing a review. With hot pot being one of my favorite foods ever, I always check out all the hot pot places around me wherever I live. I first came to this place 1 week after they opened, several years ago, thinking of the ayce conveyor belt hot pot I tried in Oahu. But it was nothing close to it. There were literally large flies flying inside the seafood dishes on the conveyor belt I was so traumatized I thought I would never come back. But we really wanted hot pot one day but didn't feel like driving to the one we like in Bellevue, and too lazy to cook it at home, so we gave this place a try again. This time it definitely seemed cleaner, a lot more people than the last time I've been here, and the server actually explained stuff this time about how to order. Broth can be better. We spent almost 60 for two without drinks and we didnt leave hungry but we werent full either so we went to get more snacks afterwards. Ive tried so many hot pot places that this one just doesnt come to par with most other places. If you drive a little bit there are places where you can get so much more for the same price and better quality plus free desserts appetizers and sauce bars. I think a good place to come if youre wanting hot pot, don't want to drive far, and not...
