Camp Bow Wow has been the only place weâve ever boarded our American Eskimo who is now 5 1/2 years old. I called to schedule boarding for our dog Labor Day weekend because we were going out of town for my sonâs wedding. I spoke with Tyler on the Saturday before our trip and was informed that we would have to go through the entire process of the interview and five hour visit again because it had been over a year since we had had her boarded with them, but they had the space to board her that weekend. While I found that frustrating (and seemingly unnecessary since they know my dog & have boarded her 3-4x already), I said I would call back when I spoke to my husband to check his availability. I called back on Sunday, and spoke to Tyler again. I made an appointment for the Wednesday before our trip at 8:30. He informed me I also needed to send an email with copies of my dogâs vaccinations, which I promptly did Sunday night. My husband arranged his work schedule to take her to the appointment at 8:30 Wednesday morning . To his surprise when he arrived, he was told we did not have a scheduled appointment, and that they never received the email. They asked him who he spoke with. He was unaware because Iâm the one who made the appointment. They refused to take my husband in for the 8:30 appointment we had made the Sunday before, and said he would have to come back at 10:30. Unfortunately, his work schedule did not allow that. So he had to drive back to Milton with our dog, and we had nowhere to board our dog for our sonâs wedding. He told me this and I was upset, So I called Camp Bow Wow from work and had to leave a message- no answer. They called me back as students were entering my classroom. I think his name was Michael. I told him I made the 8:30 appt with Tyler that Sunday before but they turned my husband and dog away,, that I would send screenshots of the 2 phone calls with their establishment on Saturday and Sunday, and would resend the email with her shot records because they claimed they never got it. it. I texted them the screenshots and forwarded them the previous email with shot records and asked if they received the information, and they never responded. They ignored the communication.
We will not be bringing our dog in the future. I supported this business whole heartedly, recommended family members to them that are on $500 daycare plan locally and our son who uses the Mobile location, but I will not be coming back. The left hand doesnât seem to know what the right hand is doing, and they make appointments but donât communicate with other staff members and âdouble bookâ having to turn people away.. It was a very frustrating situation the day prior to us leaving for a wedding and added a lot of stress to a busy time in our lives. The wedding was in GA & we didnât have time to find another boarding facility. Thank God a family member came through who couldnât attend the wedding because Camp Bow Wow was NOT there for us!!! This was a complete scheduling failure on their part and they didnât offer an apology or take...
Read moreOn Aug2, I decided to take my 2 year old Shih tzu to this camp to be around other dogs. In the interviewing process you can tell my dog was very scared. In the beginning I like how she brought a couple of dogs out where he was to see how he does, by this being his first time being around other dogs he just either ran from them or went in the corner to try and hide. He ended up outside in the interview process which was about 20 minutes already in the heat. After the interview she came to me and said that he was scared but he will be fine come back in 4 hours. She also mentioned I could go to the website to watch the video. I stayed about 30 minutes I noticed that all the dogs that was outside went back inside and my dog was still outside. So I decided to leave and go get coffee, and I continued to watch the video to see if anyone was to realize my dog was the only dog still outside.I proceeded to go back and get him itâs been 1 hour i watched him being outside in the extreme heat by himself. When I get there I tell the lady at the desk my dog was outside by himself in the heat all this time. She looked at me like she was shocked and I told her to bring me my dog. When she came back she said the other lady tried to get him to come in but he wouldnât. My dog is 15pounds and you telling me you couldnât bring him inside. Thank God I had water in the car. I would advise anyone if your dog have to go to this place to please watch the videos because if I had of left my dog for 4 hours there in this heat who knows what the outcome...
Read moreThis place was amazing at first but started to go downhill the last few months. The communication is very disappointing, they hardly answer the phone, and my voicemails and emails do not get answered. I just feel like there is a lack of professionalism, experience, and customer service in general. I hope the Sunday hours change because it was very frustrating not being able to pick up my dog between 10am-4pm. Even though there were employees in the building I spoke to during that time that told me I would have to come back after 4 to check out. I couldnât tell if my dog was forced to stay in the kennel all those hours or if she was taken out during that time. They donât have day care during those hours so she is getting zero stimulation. But if there is staff to take her out during that time for potty breaks, then why canât the staff also check out? It just doesnât make sense to me. I feel like I never got a straight answer. They also did not give her personal toy to her in her suite the last time she stayed. When I asked why they responded âI donât know, that has nothing to do with me, I didnât do itâ. Sheâs also had grooming appointments and has come home smelling bad. I asked why and they said âoh she went in the day care afterwardsâ. I asked why I wasnât notified when she was done because I would have picked her up when she was done. They had no answer for that either. I just hope the staff improves their communication...
