Amazing. Personal Shopper Taliah Rios is outstanding. Young and energetic yet gifted with style and charisma, she has a great fashion sense for even an "old man" like myself. After a recent substantial weight loss, I required a whole new professional work wardrobe...the works. She set me up. Bam! Thanks! The following weekend I returned to look at some casual clothing (52 pounds gone can really limit my choices in "the old me" closet). I went to thank her but she was off that day. I had the pleasure of meeting her Manager, Mindy Kahn, Fashion Stylist and Corporate Sales instead. What a delight. Mindy set an appointment for the the next day for me to work with Taliah again. She also called Macy's Vice President and General Store Manager Shaun Robbins to come over and meet me just so I could offer my compliment to him. What a gentleman. I told him of my previous Saturday experience that actually started at Macy's Pompano, where I walked around for 30 minutes in the Men's and Watch department and left empty handed after not being acknowledged one single time. Upon exit of that location and meeting a Floor Manager who could have cared less that I had not 1 single purchase and was leaving her store, I headed to the Galleria Macy's. Within 5 minutes I was greeted by an energetic young man with a dazzling smile (his name escapes me but he was charming),who took it upon himself to contact Personal Shopper Management. 5 minutes later, Taliah was by my side. All of this not requested by me. Talk about Success (Macy's Galleria) versus Failure (Macy's Pompano)...as clear as the difference of night vs.day. I spent $$$ 1000.00 dollars with Taliah for my new wardrobe. She treated the customer with outstanding service. When I returned the following weekend I explained to Shaun and Mindy that when the "fall" comes for Macy's (and it is coming) it is evident which store will close and which will remain open. I can not buy clothes online. I am 6'5" tall. I touch clothes. Every designer has their own idea of sizing. Same with shoes. I try them on. Watches too. I hate online shopping and shopping in general. I did return for my Sunday appointment with Taliah and now have a whole new casual wardrobe $$$. Her win. Their win. Macy's win, but more importantly, MY win! I'm not wealthy or rich and am only a celebrity in my own mind but I am a Customer Service Expert... especially when I'M THE CUSTOMER. Thank you Shaun, Mindy, and most importantly Taliah. I will be back. All the...
Read moreToday I went to pick up my order at Macys Galleria in Fort Lauderdale. When , Kayondra scanned my bar code and brought the bag out it had one item. I pointed out that the pick up slip was for 3 items and the order was for 4 items with one still processing. Thus there should be 3 items for pick up, not just one. She told me that even though she’d scanned the bar code and marked ALL 3 Items As “picked up” it wouldn’t matter when I returned at a later date to pick up the missing 2 items. I asked how they would know. She said it just wouldn’t matter. Knowing better I asked to speak to a supervisor. Her supervisor then located the bag with the other 2 items, that had already been scanned as picked up. The supervisor apologized profusely. I told her she did nothing wrong, but that Kayondra should apologize as she either doesn’t know how pick up policy works (and needs remediation) or is stealing by not giving customers their full order. She apologized again still not saying anything to Kayondra, so I asked for a manager. A manager named Caleb came down and said he cant do anything (not even remedial work) with an employee who doesn’t know your policies and misrepresents them in a manner which will negatively affect your customers and allow her to steal merchandise. I asked who and how I could contact someone who could understand this type of theft by misrepresentation and he told me to write to “Macys tell us what you think”. I think anyone picking up at this Macys should be VERY careful and should know about a Macys store which allows its employees to not know its policies and managers who effect, turn a blind eye to and allow theft by...
Read moreWorst possible shopping experience ever. I went in 12/19 and went straight to the perfume area when I was checking out I got talked into applying for the Macy’s credit card which I did because they offered a 20% discount and the total was bit over $1400.00 so it was a $280.00 discount. When the clerk went to charge that new account they declined the transaction. The clerk told me he was sure that they declined me because I only got approved for a $1000.00(I should’ve looked at the welcome package I had gotten approved for $10000.00)but since I trusted his word he told me the way around this is to make a payment ahead to the card which I did of $450.00. When we ran the transaction again they declined it again and now they blocked the card. I said fine and asked for my $450.00 back they said they couldn’t because it was a new card. At this point the store manager(Teresita)got involved(very nice and helpful)she called the bank herself got me to grant permission for her to talk to them and they told her no money back and the sale is still declined and that I would have to wait for a letter in the mail(8 business days)and then I could ask for my money back. I feel like I got robbed. It is now the 26th still no letter, no money, and no call backs from any Macy’s representative. Very...
