The food here was amazing like usual!!! Seriously, like nothing wrong with the food at all. Our server though, she seemed to have better days. We were treated so poorly - that in all of my years of working in the food service industry myself, I would have been fired on the spot if I spoke to customers this way. From the beginning she had an attitude with us. We are spicy mayo lovers so we asked for extra sides of it and that seemed to just ruin her day. Then, our table had no silverware on it just chopsticks. Not an issue at all, a simple fix and an ask. We were a party of 7 and she brought back at least 13 forks and made rude marks saying “Is this enough!?” We continued on with our dinner and tried not to bother her or have to call her over as she did seem like she was just “done”. Once we were finished and needed the checks, she proceeded to only bring one total bill for multiple different families. Not an issue again at all, we just needed them split up and we were all sitting next to the person who we were paying with. So splitting up the check seemed fairly easy for who had what, and who was paying for it. Instead of offering to adjust the check, and I quote, she said “Can y’all just figure it out amongst yourselves?” And looked at us like we were stupid. No, we cannot figure it out amongst ourselves because we all live in three separate cities and do not all have Venmo, cash app, or Zelle. She told us she couldn’t even split up the check if she wanted to which definitely confused us because we have done so before at this restaurant. After seeing our shock, she proceeded to split it up for us, but got it all wrong and did not care to change it again. Again, we were not mad at this point because the food service industry is HARD and people can be BRUTAL, so we understand and had patience. She dropped off wrong checks, leaving us to pay for each others food and things we did not have. No goodbye have a great night, she couldn’t wait to leave. Our party came in at 8 and was finished around 9 when they closed but it took an extra twenty minutes to get the checks sorted and we felt bad as we knew they were closing and the workers were waiting to go home.
We LOVE sushi axiom! We are regular customers of the west 7th location. But, since we have recently moved closer to the Burleson area we figured we would go try out that location. It’s safe to say we will stick with the Fort Worth side of town instead of Burleson. The food is phenomenal at both locations (get the vegetable fried rice you won’t regret it), and this was just the first server we’ve encountered that just gave us a horrible experience. We never got her name, she was just an older white woman with dark hair. We even told her we were going to leave her a nice tip because we felt bad about having her get us all a side of spicy mayo!
Great food,...
Read moreThis is my honest review.
I’ve been to several Sushi Axiom locations over the years, but this Burleson location stands out above the rest in every category ambiance, service, food quality, and overall vibe.
The atmosphere here is perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The lighting is low and cozy, giving the space a warm feeling without being too dark. There’s plenty of seating, and one of the things I really appreciate is how spacious everything feel. I never get the sense that I’m crammed next to other tables. Their round booths are a really nice touch, I try to sit there if they are available. These offer a little more privacy and a cool, modern design element you don’t always see in sushi spots.
As for the staff, they’ve been consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated with great hospitality, whether it’s your first time or you’re a regular. They’re also very accommodating, whether you have dietary needs or special requests, they do their best to make sure your experience is top notch.
Now, let’s talk about their food which is where I think personally this place truly shines. The sushi is fresh, great presentation and there’s a wide variety to choose from, including all the traditional favorites as well as some creative specialty rolls. I was especially impressed by their Chicken Curry. REALLY GOOD!!… not something you’d expect to be a standout at a sushi place, but honestly, it’s amazing. Full of flavor, rich but not heavy, and perfectly balanced. Their ginger salad is crisp and fresh, with just the right amount of dressing, and the miso soup is better than most—hot, savory, and satisfying. (Though it would be nice to see a bigger serving)
It’s clear that Burleson’s location is run with a high standard in mind, and it shows in every part of the dining experience. Whether you’re here for a casual dinner, a date night, or just craving great sushi and Asian cuisine, this is the place to go.
Highly recommend it—and if you’re debating between different Sushi Axiom locations, make the drive to Burleson....
Read moreWent to a restaurant for first time in a year. Never been to Sushi Axiom before but agreed to go to celebrate friend's birthday. They messed up the reservation which was for the party room. The female bartender was nice and helpful when selecting a drink while we waited on our table. When we got to the table, our waitress was friendly, but overall service was slow. We don't think it had anything to do with her. Drinks and appetizers were slow to come. Then, at some.point, someone who helps with bar service and in the grill came and brought my friend his beer. I didn't realize it wasn't our waitress and proceeded to send back the veggie spring rolls that were only spring mix and rice paper. There were no carrots or any other vegetable. Just the lettuce and rice paper. The girl, in a derogatory tone, said "I am not your waitress and that was rude". She proceeded to go to the bar to seemingly talk about me. My husband and our friend made a beeline for the manager and the girl seemingly went into hiding. We had ordered our food about 15 min prior. I was near tears because I was treated like sh#t on the bottom of someone's shoe. When the manager came over, I said I would stay for.my friend but I would not pay to eat there after that. Everyone in.our party canceled their food orders and demanded their checks. We went to No Frills and had decent bar food, great waitress, timely service for drinks and food, and way more fun. I do acknowledge that people interpret situations differently., but with the stress of the past year, and people struggle emotionally and financially, people need to give each other grace. I feel bad that there wasn't enough time left in the evening for our waitress to recoup some of the money her coworker screwed her out of. We were a party of 7, had ordered several appetizers and would have had a large bar tab. It was after 8 when we left. Will spend my money at Teppanyaki when I want that type of food...
