I moved to Texas from Florida during the pandemic, and as everyone knows there has been a very long wait to get a new license so I have been stuck with my Florida ID until July which is when my DMV appointment is. I frequent No Frills with my fiancĂ©, typically we will stop in for a few beers after work. Last night (Saturday May 15th) our friend from Florida had arrived and we took him here for dinner and a beer. It typically takes a very long time to be served here which has never bothered us much as we have worked in food service and understand the struggles and how the pandemic made that worse. The waitress was pretty quick to get to us last night and as soon as she came over to our table she immediately asked for IDâs (I didnât think much of it since we were gonna be ordering a beer but this is a restaurant as well so not sure why they wanted our IDâs if we could have just been ordering food), since we have Florida IDâs they have normally taken them back to the manager to double check them (nowhere else that Iâve been to in DFW does this, but to each their own). After about 5-10mins the, Iâm assuming, manager comes to our table with our IDâs and says âI do not feel comfortable with these...â he continues to explain that he tried ârunningâ them and âcontactingâ Florida which I think was just talk because if he actually had a way to run them or âcontactâ Florida there would have been no problem đ. We explained to him that we are regulars at no frills and theyâve never turned us away before, and he continues to say âI just donât feel comfortable with these, you should go to blank restaurant/bar, theyâre a lot more liberal about taking theseâ huh?? Manager, I would like to inform you that I had multiple other forms of ID on me, we all had cigarettes or vape products, and covered in tattoos (typically if someone is covered in tattoos itâs taken them quite a few years to get and afford those). Wasnât gonna waste my time getting out my passport to show this man, this place is no longer worth my time. My fiancĂ©âs immediate and extended family all live in Burleson and frequent here and theyâve not only lost our business, but all of theirs as well. Not exactly something you want to happen at the end of your 80 hour, 6 day work week. I wasnât going to leave a review until my mom and some other family suggested, as they were all appalled with this as well. I get trying to be strict and not allow serving to underage people, but turning away two 23 year old and a...
Read moreWe have been told about how good this place is so my husband and I had to come try it. Iâm not sure what all the fuss is about. We wonât be back. First the coke was absolutely horrible tasted all syrup. That should have been all I needed to know. So I asked our waitress was the chicken fried steak real and she says yes. So thinking since thatâs real then the steak fingers would be also but no they came out just like DQ pre frozen. A good waitress would inform you of them being fake seeing you asked about the steak being real. The onion ring on the plate were so filled full of grease itâs unreal. My husband asked for a club and was told all vegetables would be on the side which were not. A club sandwich that had the turkey cooked on it which Iâve never seen. The bacon was flimsy and horrible. He took maybe two bites and weâre done. We had to ask for his fryâs that he had ordered and they came out like they had been sitting there and all they did was buy them back in the grease. Extremely greasy and very hard. He did how ever eat his side salad but again the waitress assured him there were no carrots in it and there was. Iâm not sure she knows all the food. She was aware we didnât like the food at all and brought our ticket them brought a second ticket and told us the manager would only allow her to take one meal. The manager was leaning on a rail most time we were their. You would think he would have came and asked what was wrong with our food. You could clearly tell they are not about the customers or the appearance and taste of the food. Pictures are of the food we left...
Read moreIf you havenât been to No Frills Bar and Grill yet, youâre seriously missing outâespecially if you havenât had the pleasure of being served by the incredible Glenda. Letâs just get this out of the way: Glenda is an absolute rockstar. Sheâs the kind of person who makes your whole day better the second she flashes that huge, warm smile. Sheâs always on top of thingsâattentive without hovering, friendly without being fake, and she remembers your order like sheâs known you for years. Sheâs honestly half the reason we keep coming back (the other half being the food, of course!).
Speaking of food: itâs consistently awesome. Doesnât matter what you orderâburgers, wings, nachos, saladsâthey knock it out of the park every single time. Itâs like they sprinkled a little magic on everything coming out of that kitchen. Youâll never leave hungry, and youâll definitely be thinking about your meal long after youâve left.
And if you're a sports fan, this place is a dream. TVs line literally every wall, so no matter where you're sitting, you've got a great view of the game. Whether itâs football Sundays, playoff season, or just a Tuesday night, thereâs always a good buzz in the air.
Bottom line: No Frills is the kind of place you go once and end up becoming a regular. Great atmosphere, fantastic food, and seriouslyâGlenda is the best of the best. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Youâll see exactly what I mean.
Kevin, the manager, isnât...
