staff was nice and this place definitely has some hidden gems however a majority of the merch is bootleg and overpriced. unless you want to pay out the nose for something you could buy on wish, i’d avoid this shop entirely. when i visited they were selling a bootleg of the banpresto colosseum shigaraki tomura figurine for 80 dollars. a quick google search shows you could get a genuine one for around the same price. i dont really care about selling bootleg merch to tourists cuz i mean everyone does it but at least price it accordingly.
edit: I was trying to be civil and truthful in my original review but obviously the shop owner doesn't care about being civil. Love that this shop claims to be LGBTQ+ friendly when, clearly, the owner is not. Nice transphobic comment you have in the first sentence of your reply. You must sleep really well at night. G Leonard is indeed my real name, thank you very much, and I do reside in the states; I don't have anything to prove to you regarding my google profile. I was visiting Gatlinburg with my friends from Knoxville when I was in your store. In fact, I'll upload some pics I took in your store which, BTW, has a no photograph policy. Hm.. I wonder why... it's as if you know exactly what you're doing by scamming innocent tourists. As you can see by this photo, I was in the store. Nice printed stolen fanworks you're selling. Are the artists and or licensing companies getting any money for the things you're selling?? Defamation of my character or review doesn't prove anything. In fact, I think it makes my claims that much more truthful. Nowhere in my original review did I say anything about buying off Amazon. In fact, I'd encourage anyone interested in legitimate figurines, Banpresto or otherwise, to check out online shops that are verified or buy from vendors that can show proof of validity. Validity being certain characteristics of the figures themselves and official seals on boxes. I'd bet my whole savings that the boxes for these "legitimate Banpresto figures" that are being sold at this store do not have any of Banpresto's signature seals or logos. Again, I enjoyed the things you had in your store and the front desk worker was very nice, though they did warn me that you would have kicked me out and banned me from the store if you would've heard me saying this about the merchandise in real life. Now I know they were being truthful. Scare tactics aren't an adequate way to run a business. I was simply stating that selling the bootleg merch at the insane markup that you are is just a tourist trap, and is, quite frankly, unethical in my opinion. Hope you have a lovely existence scamming...
Read moreWould Give a 5 Star but I looked up D&D near me and found this place. So I thought I’d check it out. Don’t go to this place if your looking for D&D.. They had other cool stuff like Harry Potter wear. Pretty good unless you are looking for D&D stuff to actually play the game. They do carry mugs and a monopoly version.
EDIT: We went back everything seemed normal and nice but everything just seemed super overpriced and what was funny was we went to a Walmart like maybe 30 or so minutes away. We saw this pop doll I really like but forgot to bring my wallet it was a ghost face pop doll I really really wanted. So we left I got back home and I checked to so if there was any place around that carried funko pops and see if I could find it. Then I remembered this place… I never looked at there funko pops prices . But I found the pop. It looked just as good nothing suspicious. (As most of there stuff in there is knock off) I remember after taxes the Pop at Walmart would be 11.99 or so. I checked the price it was around a 50% mark up sitting at around I think 21.99 before taxes next to a chucky pop that was 18.99. My mind was blown. I told myself I would wait until tomorrow. To go to Walmart and buy it myself. I went to Walmart and I bought ghost face AND a Micheal Myeres (that was on clearance) I ended up spending upwards of $18 or so. Completing my horror funko pop collection. This is just crazy scamming tourist. I told the story to my brother who was staying in Gatlinburg for a while he couldn’t stop laughing. Don’t go to this place for Funko Pops or Pokémon Cards. This is the type of store that thinks Pokémon cards...
Read moreEDIT: I will not change my review. I have been collecting pop figures for years and only buy from reputable businesses. I can buy most of the same pops you were selling online or even in another trusted collector shop for FAR less. So try again 🤗. I'm not hurting small business by being honest. You're hurting yourselves by charging an insane amount for pokemon pops for example that I can go to GAMESTOP and get on clearance. 90% of your pops are over priced and you can't change my mind. You're LOSING MONEY by having them so unreasonably priced. You'd make more money marking them down. Then people would be more likely to buy more than 1 pop figure. Just a thought. Not taking this post down so other serious pop collectors can save themselves a trip.
Great selection of funko pops IF you want to be severely over charged. Proced checked some I was interested in inside the store and I could get them online in some cases for $30 cheaper. I'd highly recommend not buying pops from them unless they do a bit more research on their prices. Sad because they have a great selection and I was interested in purchasing several, and they arent willing to...
