Stuff 'N' Nonsense Boutique — Local services in Granbury

I moved here in 2020, and visited Granbury and fell in love with the town and the shops around the square and all the activities. My first stop is always Stuff and Nonsense and then walk my way around. I bring all my friends and family here when they come to visit, and they all love it. Last month while being at the store I was turn into participating on the girls night out. I thought i should join since I am always there and spending money. That same day, after all the shopping, I won one of the ruffles, and it happened to be from the one store I absolutely loved and I frequent with my friends. It had earrings, a scarf and a 25 dollar gift certificate. I was very excited because I never win anything, I was looking forward to go next month “December” and get my self a Christmas outfit. I went the with my friends, and we all found outfits. I went to use my gift certificate and the employee tells me, “did you look at the expiration date” . I say what?, I didn’t know there was one, I never looked at the back of the card. I look at the day and it had expired 12/8. I said that was yesterday! , she says yes it was. Sorry I can’t accept it. I asked you will. It honor it for one day?. Gosh, I was just there on Wednesday, if I would have only paid attention I would have used it then. I was very disappointed that she wouldn’t honor it for o e day. I asked if she would call the owner, and she said no. So I left. I am giving a 1 star because I was very disappointed. I have done business before and would want and do anything for my customers to keep coming back. Specially someone that brings me more customers. This was clearly a learning lesson for me. To make sure I pay more attention . Later on that night, the owner was at the ruffle, and this incident was brought up to her attention and her response was, the employee did what I would have done. WOW I’m already telling all my friends and family and we will not be returning to your store. It’s not the 25 dollars gift, it is about the principals and how you treat your customers. You were not losing 25 dollars because I was going to buy way more than that, and so were my friends. Let me tell you about the heart and soul of this establishment... I walked in yesterday morning, while visiting Granbury for a wedding this weekend. On a mission to find a rose gold hair piece for the bride, the owner Janet, went above & beyond to help a stranger... To be completely honest, her entire family did. While she tried to help me figure out where I might find what I was looking for locally, her husband happened to be in Weatherford. He and their daughter went to multiple stores trying to find exactly what our bride was looking for. He found something beautiful that was a close match to what we needed and rushed back to ensure our bride would have everything she wanted for her special day. Complete strangers went out of their way to help us on my friend's wedding day.
