Ocean Shores RV Park — Local services in Homer

Being new to RVing our selection of this facility was entirely based upon a lot of positive reviews from former customers. We were not disappointed. We told the staff that we had never hooked up an RV before, so they went out of their way to make sure it was done right. Waking up that first morning and looking at the mountains across the bay made me believe that everything that had been mentioned, regarding the fantastic views, were drastic understatements. The restrooms/showers were sparkling clean, well lit with an individual heating system so you are toasty warm when you step out of the shower on a cold morning. The laundry room is clean, and the office is well supplied with quarters should you not care to use your credit card. I personally hate electronic change machines. They always have me looking for the pull handle like a Vegas slot. If I could give this place six...

This is the second time we've stayed here with a group of friends. The place is fabulous, we'll upkept and constantly patrolled. The bathrooms are cleaned several times a day and have plenty of hot water for much needed showers. Also have washers and dryers that are a bit expensive, but great to have. I find many RVers look down on anyone NOT in an RV and delight in making complaints that the owners/management listen to. This can be a double-edged sword. Beach access is easy if you don't mind walking up the hill. Firepits are great for afternoon conversations about the one that got away. Ravens are bad in the area, so put away everything, or they will have it all over the place. The management/owners are knowledgeable about the area and willing to direct you to local places as well as tourist places. One of our favorite RV parks in Alaska during our 4 month trip. The hillside location gives an amazing unimpeded view. A short easy walk down to the beach for great walks. Low tide offers lots of room for running the dogs and exploring. It’s much more relaxed than staying on the spit with a lot less seagulls to use your RV for target practice The park and bathrooms are kept very clean. The manager/owner was very friendly and really takes pride in keeping the place looking its best. She was also a wealth of information on places to visit and was spot on with her assessments.
