I recently visited the 7-11 at 1922 Kalākaua Ave, Honolulu, HI, and had a deeply unsettling experience. While doing laundry nearby, I went into the store to buy some bread and asked for $10 in change after paying with $100. The staff member, who appeared to be of Southeast Asian descent with dark skin and long hair, seemed unable to communicate in English. Despite repeating my request multiple times, when she finally understood, she rolled her eyes at me and rudely said, "No way," only giving me a single $10 bill. As a loyal 7-11 customer in both Japan and the USA, I’ve always found the staff to be courteous and willing to help, but this encounter was shocking. I felt discriminated against because of my skin color, and I’m now too scared to return to this store. This behavior does not meet the standards I expect from 7-11, and I’m deeply disappointed. I won’t be visiting any 7-11 stores in...
Read moreThis 7-11 has alot of different foods, for all kinds of groups of islanders as well as tourist from anywhere. Drink machines, icee's and even a favor blast ice cream machine my favorite. Anyone who goes in there will find something that they could eat. It has alot of stuff in such a little store but their set up is good except they could put a lot more different things in the drink and food area. Almost half the price of a ABC store. Plus open 24/7. Awesome. Infact I'm going there right now. Anyone wanna go for a walk with me and my dog? 😁 The only con's are it's very stuffy in there like kinda hot and whew the smell sometimes. Alot of homeless go in there. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against the homeless it's just that some don't do personal hygiene. Anyway on my way. See ya there... Mahalo and Aloha from a local girl & her dog....

There was no manager present, and when my mom called the place the cashier tried to deny it happened. They never offered to compensate for what happened, not even a refund. My mom and her family walked in the pouring rain to go here because of how unique it is to the 7-elevens in the mainland and they were very disappointed to be treated like this. Hopefully the other locations will have...
