please see this old Korean lady âs photo as posting here first, make sure when you see her next time, you will get familiar with her!!!! Next it is what happened, please read carefully, Absolutely Horrific Experience â This Store Should Be Shut Down. This is, without a doubt, the most disgusting and disturbing experience Iâve ever had with any store in the United States. I have never encountered such rude, aggressive, and abusive behavior from shopkeepers in my life. I visited this store with my elderly motherâwho is over 80 years oldâand my young daughter. At one point, my daughter picked out a shirt but decided not to buy it after reading the writing on it. That alone triggered a shockingly rude reaction from the older woman working there. She immediately accused us of âmessing upâ her store, even though my daughter had gently returned the item to its original place without causing any disturbance.
Then things escalated.
This womanâwho appeared to be Korean and spoke mostly Korean with heavily broken Englishâliterally pushed my elderly mother out of the store with her hands. I am not exaggerating. She physically laid hands on my 80-year-old mother and forced her out. My daughter was so frightened by the aggressive behavior that she started crying. It was traumatic, and I was furiousâif we hadnât needed to catch a flight, I would have called the police immediately.
This is not just poor customer service. This is verbal abuse, physical aggression, and emotional harmâespecially toward children and the elderly. This store should be shut down.
After leaving, I was still so angry that I checked the storeâs Google Reviews. Shockingly, almost every negative review described the same old woman and the exact same behavior: shouting at customers who donât buy, forcing people out of the store, insulting non-buyers, and treating peopleâespecially touristsâwith hatred and contempt. Some even described her physically pushing children or hitting them, and being openly discriminatory. I was horrified to see that I was not alone.
The most disturbing part is that this store operates in Hawaiiâa place known around the world for its aloha spirit and hospitality. What I experienced here was the complete opposite of that. This business is a disgrace to Hawaii, to the United States, and to the values this country stands for.
It gets worse: The womanâs racism was blatant. She made comments about Chinese people in Englishârude and offensive things. But based on the reviews, sheâs not just targeting Chinese people. She has also mistreated Japanese tourists, Americans, and anyone who doesnât look like theyâre spending money. If you enter the store with a child or appear like youâre browsing, not buying, she will treat you with hostility and contempt. She has a barrier at the entrance literally a stick or rod positioned like sheâs ready to physically push customers out. Again, Iâm not exaggerating.
This kind of abusive conduct has no place in any civilized society, let alone in a tourist destination in the United States. I strongly urge the appropriate consumer protection and legal authorities to investigate this store. I will personally be contacting the police about this matter.
Touching an elderly woman without consent and shoving her out of the door is absolutely unacceptable. Scaring a child to tears with aggressive shouting is not business, itâs abuse. This is not an isolated experience. The pattern is visible in many reviews online. I urge everyone to read them before stepping foot in this store. To any future customer considering entering this shop: be warned. If you are not ready to make an expensive purchase on the spot, you may be treated as if you are garbage. Go in and see for yourself , but donât say you werenât warned.
For your recent untrue reply: my elderly mother, you were the one who laid hands on her first. You pushed her toward the exit, and she almost lost her balance. She only raised her hands out of fear that she was going to be pushed to the ground by you. Same previous bad reviews will...
Read moreThis was by far the worst experience Iâve ever had at a store in Hawaii. I truly believe the authorities should investigate this business and consider whether it should even be allowed to continue operating. What I experienced here was not just poor customer service, it was outright hostility and discrimination.
There was an older woman working in the store, likely around 50 years old, who was extremely rude to customers. She appeared to be Korean and spoke mostly Korean, with very limited English that was heavily accented. From the moment we entered, her attitude was unfriendly and aggressive, especially toward customers who didnât immediately make a purchase.
At one point, my daughter picked up a piece of clothing to take a closer look. She held it up to see how it looked and then carefully put it back in its original place. Despite this, the woman suddenly accused her of âmessing upâ the display. She began scolding us and said we should leave the store immediately. We were shocked, my daughter had been polite and respectful.
The situation escalated when both the woman and a man who also worked there began forcing us out of the store. It wasnât just a verbal confrontation, they physically motioned us toward the door and made it very clear that we were no longer welcome. The entire interaction was hostile, humiliating, and deeply upsetting.
To make matters worse, during our brief time in the store, the woman made several openly racist remarks about Chinese people, speaking in English. Her comments were discriminatory and completely unacceptable. No customerâregardless of nationalityâshould be treated like this.
Is this what the Aloha spirit is supposed to be? Is this how tourists are welcomed in Hawaii?
This store is a disgrace to the values that Hawaii is known for. I sincerely hope the appropriate consumer protection agencies or local authorities look into this business. Tourists should be warned about places like this, where racism, aggression, and disrespect are allowed to...
Read moreI really try not to leave 1 đ reviews but man does this place deserve it. And I feel MUCH better about doing so after reading other people's recent visits to this place. "Ohana" golf is more like hurry-up-and-buy (Insert insult), golf.
First off, as SOON as my wife and I walked through the door we were accosted by an Asian woman with a flurry of "NO, NO, NO!" And fingers wagging in our direction. It was so dramatic that I thought she was reciting lines for a play. Then I discovered she was shouting at us because apparently we had just violated the store's 5 customer limit.
Mind you, there was a gentleman at the door who greeted us right after and was clearly embarrassed by the woman's actions. There was also no signs posted telling us about the customer limit so you have to be able to read minds or count first by peeking through the window.
The two store employees continued arguing in a different language and we could make out "store policy" and "too many people" I truly felt bad for the man but I was still embarrassed by how we were treated by this manager Karen.(not her real name)
The other customers in the store were all looking at us as if we had just stolen property. I assumed they were treated as poorly as we were. I poked around the store after being convinced by the man who intervened but I assure you I wasn't going to spend a dime in that shop after how we were treated.
It's a shame too because I had a wad of $100s that was just ready to jump out of my pocket for some new clubs and shoes. (Not that it would help my game anyway)
Their loss, think twice about shopping here. Roger Dunn is a far better option. Probably less...
