I love my nails so much! Salon Cherie specializes in Japanese gel, and making the switch has been the best decision ever. The quality, durability, and finish are unmatched!

I really love my technician, Hitomi—she is so gentle and sweet, and I always feel so relaxed during my appointments. I cannot stop staring at my nails every time I get them done! Chiru is also an amazing technician who is incredibly meticulous and detailed in her work. You can really tell they both take their time to ensure perfection!

I also love their monthly specials because I’m not the most creative person when it comes to nail designs, but if you come in with a vision, they can create beautiful, intricate designs as well. Plus, their prices are very reasonable, especially for Hawaii!

I even built three cabinets, and my nails still looked perfect—no chips, no damage! That really says a lot about the quality of their work. I am seriously so amazed!

Nails were rushed and there was minimal prep (e.g. nail shaping, buffing, cuticles). As a caveat: I was dealing with bad traffic coming into Waikiki so I was 15 mins late, I texted the nail tech to let her know and she acknowledged it. After coming in, the nail tech quickly shaped my nails and started painting, she was finished in 25 mins skipping a lot of parts that normally come with a manicure. While I was late, my appointment was for an hour and 15 mins - there was still a 1 hour time to do a proper manicure. The painting and design work was rushed and sloppy - it did not go edge to edge on the nail and the flower petal design was uneven and the nail design pen was not cleaned between colors so the wrong color would be mixed into the design (for example I had white flecks on a purple flower petal). There was no work on my cuticles. For $70+tip, I was disappointed in the service...

This place is my go-to for Japanese gel nails! The girls here are uber talented. If you can, ask for Mariko!! She does wonders and is so artistic. All the girls are really great at what they do. They have monthly specials that they show on their Instagram page (@saloncherie) that cost $55, not including tax.
