I have been coming to The Beauty Bar for about 8 months for nails, powder dip, gel, extensions and custom art work and spa pedicures. About 1/2 the time I bring my Husband for pedicures with me. At least 1/2 the time I have brought them new clients who end up becoming reoccurring clients.
Things I love about The Beauty Bar. Cleanliness, not just the location, but most importantly the sanitation of the tools they use. If you’ve ever had an infection from a pedicure you understand the importance of not cross contaminating the tools.
Decor is pleasant and modern with a feminine touch.
The consistency of the products and their advice on what to have done or tweak is spot on.
The added bonus is they use an appointment only system. This can be cumbersome if you’re on the fly, but for those who like this to be a rush free, relaxing and calming experience it’s by far worth the extra planning.
I have gotten lucky if they have had a last minute cancellation when I called the same day, so it doesn’t hurt to try. It’s not easy to find though, they book out about a month in advance.
Today we were here just for a spa pedicure for me with gel(on & off), paraffin wax, and callus removal. Hubs got the volcano pedicure with paraffin and extra massage. He’s diabetic and taking good care of his feet is paramount.
He complimented his attendant multiple times. He’s picky about who he lets touch his feet, hates fingers between his toes, and doesn’t like pounding on his legs, she listened to all his requests and even pointed out that she had identified why some of his requests were already on her mind due to the condition of his feet and depth of his skin on his lower legs (due to scar tissue from and old injury). Needless to say he was quite impressed. After leaving he said he doesn’t want to ever go anywhere else, she’s worth waiting for.
My nails are always done well and as a person who has a very thin nails naturally, the dip and extensions are always being replaced. My stylist is the queen of seeing whatever challenging style I present and working it backwards to produce exactly what I have in mind.
Overall, once you come, you’ll want to book again before you leave. Sit back, relax, enjoy, bring your cooler and your girlfriends, they are a fun group who will laugh with you or let you enjoy the quiet reflection you need. There’s no wrong way to do this, except if you choose not to try it....
Read moreI am in love with this nail salon! My experience at a different salon really put a bad taste in my mouth, therefore, I researched further and found this GEM!
First, I love how you can make online appointments. With my busy schedule, this is a very helpful service where I can make my own appointments. You can even Instagram message them to make appointments!
Second, I love love love how clean it is inside! They never reuse materials and always have things sanitized in a bag. Also, the decor is VERY cute! It’s also a BYOB nail salon if you ever want to wine down!
Lastly, the service is amazing! All of the staff members are friendly and nice!! They make you feel welcomed. It’s a small boutique salon with intimate vibes! I really appreciate how they take the time to make your nails look exactly how you want them to look. I never feel rushed!! Terra has done a wonderful job with my nails each time. She is very gentle and knowledgeable. I also love how they soak your nails rather than grind them down to take the polish off. There are not many salons in Hawaii that take the time to soak your nails. So I REALLY appreciate that small gesture.
I can’t wait to go back...
Read moreEveryone was really friendly and I had meant to do a gel manicure and it ended up being a regular manicure. Multiple people asked what I wanted and if I had polish on my nails. I thought my tech asked what was on my nails right before taking it off, so I answered it as regular. I realized the mistake when checking out and all I did was ask if this wasn't for gel manicure. I'm not nail savvy so I'm not familiar with the procedure of doing gel. I was fine with it, the tech did not seem to be fine with it as she kept rambling on in Vietnamese about the mistake with me telling her "regular". I can understand Vietnamese so I thought that was poor behavior and people should be careful of what they say when other people are around. Mistakes happen, unless the customer was going full Karen or complained then it shouldn't be a big deal.
My tech did a great job and I was fine with how it turned out. Other than that, I docked off a star because I got irritated with their ranting before I even left, I didn't complain, and...
